100th monkey

Back in 2002 I did my nlp practitioner course, on the course a very brief disscussion on the idea of the 100th monkey.

(very short version) There were two islands both with 100 monkeys on. scienctists in the 1950s put sweet potatoes on the beach for the monkeys so they could study their behaviours, the baby(100th) monkeys didnt like the sand on the potatoes and went down to the waters edge and washed them clean. The baby monkeys showed there mothers and so on.. until all the monkeys washed the potatoes.

scientists noticed that the same thing was happening on the other island that was a few miles from the other island. some say that it was a mass thought projection, that if all the monkeys did the same then eventually the power of thought would  transfere to others how ever far apart they were.

My thought is monkeys arent stupid.

people used this idea about global warming that if we all  think about the issue then we can fix it.

not my thought process.

but it does for me throw the question  of the power of the mind and what it can do.

it is just a thought and ramble, but ive had alot of  discussions and I wanted to put it out there.

If anyone has thoughts  on the issues please let me know.
