the Free Hypnosis Social Network

Last year we put out our first hypnosis census.  It was very brief, but gave a quick insight into what is happening in the field of hypnosis.

The results were great, and the conversations it started were, I think, very valuable.  The overwhelming response, though, was that you wanted more questions and more information.  We kept our questions pretty focused on two issues:  Training and Income.  We did this because they are so easy to measure, and we wanted the census to be easy for you to take.

Based on the feedback, we want to make the 2012 Hypnosis Census more complete.  I'd love to find out what questions you guys are curious about.  What kind of anonymous questions should we ask?  What do you wish you knew about the industry?  What do you wish you knew when you got started?

This thread is a brainstorming session.  I hope that people will post questions and ideas that can be researched first and discussed further after the data is collected.

Looking forward to your responses,

Scott

LIke all businesses, commercial success usually comes down to how well you can attract new clients. THis in my experience of other businesses is not luck, its doing the right things everyday. One aspect I find difficult with hypnosis is that the faster I solve their problem the faster I lose some income.

I have friends in CBT, Physio etc and they are on a gravy train with clients coming weekly for months on end, sometimes years!

OH IF ONLY

So my number one interest is business development, Id like to get better at hypnotherapy by first seeing a lot more people,

Gary Player the SA golfer was accused of being a lucky player he said " yes its funny, the more practice I do the luckier I seem to get"

I have posted this under a discussion I started on Effective Trance Techniques and thought some of you may be interested in the results of a survey I carried out on the same subject. If you and others are interested Scott, maybe this could be expanded into a much larger study? Please email me direct for more information (or see my other post).

Warm wishes

Gill

further to my post above,

I just had a good friend and fellow therapist point out that my issue with losing clients due to my own success is a very large self limiting belief, his belief system is that the faster her helps them the more impressed they are then the faster they talk about this and recommend him to their friends, belief now adjusted, AP you know who you are  and thanks
