I run a private practice but would like to move into some corporate business hypnosis. I charge £75 per hour which goes up to £175 per hour for professional athletes that I work with. I’m not sure how to structure a corporate pay rate. I’d like to charge a one off fee to the company in order to work with as many employees as would like my services (perhaps stress management, sales etc). The problem is I don’t want to charge say, a few thousand pounds and end up with hundreds of clients which would have made me more money if I’d charge an individual fee at £75. Although I appreciate I may not have got the business should the company not have paid for the staff.
Paul McKenna claims to charge a daily fee of £7000, which I guess is one way around it – charge daily amounts. But I expect if a company is willing to pay for its employees to see me they would set a limit? Does anyone have experience of this and if so, any ideas on structuring the pay rate.
Your ideas would be helpful.

The only thing I might suggest is that you don't try to go in at the fee set by the top person in the field. My experience is that if you start at the lower end so you can get your feet wet and meet people, establish a "base." Then you have a sense of what the market will bear. Once you get some clients, you can charge more. Anyhow, that has always worked for me.

On my side of the pond - Corporate work in Stress, Smoking Cessation, Wellness and/or Sales involves working with a group on-site or at a retreat... Corporations hire speakers for one hour talks, three hour seminars and one day to one week workshops.

Fees depend on the size of the corporation, the estimated number of attendees for the talk, seminar and/or workshop and the standing of the presenter...

It sounds like you have something else in mind -- as in offering a special fee to corporate sales people and in that case -- as long as you special fee is not below your usual fees -- You Win!
