HypnoThoughts.com

the Free Hypnosis Social Network

Hi everyone, I'm not sure where to post this... just wondering if this site has any filters to prevent this kind of stuff from coming through... I get enough of it in my spam box to not want to deal with it here.  I didn't see anywhere to report this person or anything.

Hi Linda,

The largest spam filter is called "Scott Sandland," the founder of HypnoThoughts. :) He and a few other hard-working moderators take care of this kind of thing. You can see them listed at the top of the screen when you click on the Members tab.

People can only send you mail on HypnoThoughts if you've added them as a friend. So you can remove this person, and you can report them using the "Report An Issue" link at the bottom of every page (you just have to scroll down to find it...it's small.

Hope that helps!

Scott has been working on this. I received one of these some time ago, but under a different name (probably the same person). Report the email to Scott, and he can at least block the account.
HI linda,

That person has been unsubscribed (by one of the other moderators), for breaching the Spam guidelines.

This happened before you made your post, so I am imagining that some others have already reported the spam to Scott or Richard.

I am assuming you got that mesage in your hypnothoughts 'inbox' and that it is therefore from someone who you have added as a friend?
Or you are a member of a group, and the person has joined that group, and sent this message to members of that group.

The only way the moderators know about these things (unless we get the spam in our own inbox) is when a member tell tells us about it.

Clicking on the 'report an issue' link at the bottom right of each page, will take you to a report form which will be sent to Scott.

If anyone prefers, they can send a message to either myself or Richard Clark. who take some of the load off Scott's shouders.

Clicking on the 'members' tab near the top of each page you will be able to see the moderators.
clicking on their image, will take you to their page, where you can send a message.

Love and hugs,

Fable

That's the odd thing.... I have never added this person as a friend, and I couldn't find the button you all cited to report it... thanks for your help though, it does feel good to know that there is a protocol in place to deal with this. Linda

Hello again Linda,

And anyone else who has trouble finding that 'Report an issue' link.

At the very bottom of the page, you should see a line that says:

© 2010 Created by Scott Sandland, C.Ht. Scott is not responsible for the information or opinions shared on HypnoThoughts or the actions of its members.

Just below that, and to the right hand side you shoud see four links:

Ahhhhhhhhhhh, now I see it... Thank you so much... I was looking in the message section itself... my bad for causing a ruckus over something I missed at the end of a 3rd shift.
