Hi everyone,

I have just made the first draft of a new hypnotherapy recording, which will be going

on sale next year in the hypnostore.  I am aware of a couple of things which I

would want to adjust/change, but there are probably quite a few things that I

have not spotted.  I would love some feedback.

Ok Time for the feed back!

This was a nice return to some of the previous round of exercises in your first challenge 2 years ago. I have listened to the old recordings off and on since then, but not to this particular type of exercise. Made the first mistake the first night and put it on my "night-time " listening list, and it put me soundly to sleep before any of the exercises started lol. So it was a big surprise as it cycled thru the second time in the early morning and I found that laying in the bed was not the point.  lol

So now having taken the time, in the middle of the day to discourage sleepiness, to properly do it here is my experiences:

  • I found the imaginary body parts easy to imagine at first, and found that I had to compensate in my real stance as I imagined bending head, raising arms, walking and jumping, etc as my mind really experienced a shift of center of gravity. I was happy that I was barefooted doing it, as it made the connection with my feet/ toes more noticeable as they compensated for balance. I felt increased tension in the big toe pressing down to keep me upright.
  • I noticed an interesting effect in the clapping hands. Not only did I hear the clap, but my real hand was feeling a tingle, as I often get after clapping, as well as the physical push back of the hands.
  • I still do not see true pictures of what I envision, so seeing the imaginary body in front of me got kinda creative as I was already engaged in imagining the body and now imagining seeing the imaginary body ( talking about confusion and going deeper  lol)
  • After sitting down I was off to imagining ice carving and only caught bits of the talking you were doing, but I am sure I was hearing it all anyway.
  • For the final imaginary part I was imagining writing this review and did in fact start doing it as I counted my self up and out (I was just really deeply in there to just go about it without doing that, emerging slowly most of he time leaves me with a hangover or the wish of going to sleep)
  • I think a few more times thru this I will work on doing some of the exercises at different times, and in different settings without the track. It was quite neat experience.
  • A long time ago before I started studying hypnosis I had a series of reoccurring dream, in  which the use of 'Relax' was used as a calming and regain focus type trigger, so I found that as a welcomed rekindling of that memory. It created a memory flashback to the dreams.
  • Reading your posts in the 'challenge'  thread using the word  'relax' thru out, was also interesting as I tend to hear what I read in the voice of the person writing ( that is if I have heard them and that is no problem here... )

Finally, I will throw this in the mix.... I seem to have a hard time in hypnosis, to fully dissociating on a kinestetic level... I can imagine myself in a place, or even split out in 3-4 levels deep, (watching my self, watching myself etc) yet I will always retain a strong kinestetic feeling with all the levels at the same time. Might any of the exercises you are doing here have an influence on that, or will the heightened kinestetic awareness that it seems we are creating, make it more likely to stay that way. I am wondering if anyone has any input on that, as it would sometimes be nice to truly dissociate fully, specially when emotions are involved.

Thanks again Fable for sharing, there is so much we don't even know we haven't learned about our own bodies and what we can do with our minds! It is so much fun to learn experientially!

Hugs,

Aino

Aino!

I asked for feedback...  You gave me feedback...

I am delighted.   Just had a quick read of your post, on waking, and I will come back and read it in more detail later.

It is exactly what I wanted...

You are a star!

Love and hugs,

Fable
