Roll up !
Roll up!
Roll up!
Some of the 'old lags' on here will rememeber a thread from years gone by:
Back in the days of 2009, I started a thread with a thirty day challenge.
It became one of the most popular threads ever on hypnothoughts.
with twenty pages of responses.
It can be found here:
http://www.hypnothoughts.com/forum/topics/benefits-of-a-daily-pract...
I am about to set another challenge with prizes.
I am expecting less takers this time round as the challenge is for two months!
Who would sign up even before they knew what the challenge was?
Who would sign up even before they knew what the prizes were?
The challenge will require a commitment of one hour per day
for two months, starting from the first of November.
This includes a commitment over the christmas period and right up to new year's eve.
There is an expectation that each person who takes part, will give feedback,
at least once a week, but no more than once a day.
Last time the prizes were for anyone who took part,
those who gave the most feedback,
got more and better prizes.
This time prizes are only
for those who members
who give regular
feedback.
No pressure to sign up straight way!
I will set the full guidelines over the
next few days so any one
can join in at whatever
stage they want.
Watch this space!
Love and hugs,
Lawrie

Permalink Reply by Fable Goodman on October 29, 2011 at 7:03am Cheers Kelly, (and the one other person who has said the same thing by private message).
I am having the afternoon off, and will post a little more in a few hours.
I believe they are playing about with the time here in The U.K.
We know how to do that, winter, spring, summer or fall,
without having to go round the house, changing every
clock/timepiece, in every room of the house.
How many clocks/timepieces do people
imagine I have in my house.
A bonus prize to the
nearest guess.

Permalink Reply by Kelley Woods on October 29, 2011 at 2:50pm Fable, I imagine you have 6 timepieces in your abode...not so many, because you are not a person to be harnessed by time constraints...
Joe, get your gloves on... :)
Permalink Reply by Bill Kennedy on October 30, 2011 at 3:05am Normally, I would sign up for such a challenge from such a challenger, and I wouldn't worry about the daunting amount of skill and experience in the others being challenged, because I would have faith that Fable would create a challenge that pitted people against themselves rather than each other. Unfortunately, I know myself too well to be able to commit to a whole hour each day for two months. I am a sprinter, not a marathon runner.
Good luck to all!
Permalink Reply by Fable Goodman on October 30, 2011 at 10:04am Thanks Bill,
It is good to know a man who recognises his own level of willing commitment.
Of course there are no penalties, for starting the 'Challenge' and then
dropping out at whatever point seems appropriate.
It is a challenge for each participant with the support,
encouragement and feedback
from the others, (not a challenge
against other participants.)
For those who feel willing and ready to commit: I will be posting a link to download am MP3 tommowow.
The expectation (contract) is that you will put aside the time each day to use this recording,
regardless of what seems to get in the way.
From experience, (with thousands of clients over the years),
I can tell you that this will work better if you take the
effort to schedule it into your calender/diary,
like making an important appointment
with yourself which you keep
regardless of whatever
crops up.
The first week will start with a very Fundamental, yet
very thorough 'Progressive Relaxation Exercise',
based much on the work of Jacob Edmundson.
It does not involve much hypnosis as such,
although there are some general
suggestions for well being
towards the end, that
you can choose to
accept ot not.
The challenge for the week is to use this every day without fail,
and report back on how it goes.
On the previous challenges, there were prizes for everyone who took part,
regardless of whether they gave feedback or not.
In this occasion, I am restricting the prizes,
to those who stick in with the whole
challenge in the spirit of
the exersice.
The recording I am going to use this week, is from a cassette
that I made almost thirty years ago, and have gave to many
clients over the years. Those that have used it regularly
(as prescribed), have experienced amazing
improvements in their lives.
I am forever walking around the town, and bumping into people who say things like:
" oh hello.. I still listen to that recording you gave me twenty years ago...
It has made such a difference" ... (fill in the details yourself).
If course this is just a warm up exercise,
and some people will find it boring/ repetitive/etc.
but it is laying the foundations for later work.
Although I have a specific idea/plan, the later work will be decided,
based upon the feedback that is shared.
You can share feedback privately
(just as some people have
signed up privately).
IF shared privately,
it will stay private.
If you share in the public forum (which I would prefer) then I will comment publicly,
and adjust the programme to suit the feedaback from the participants.
In other words... you are capable of steering the challenge
in the direction that is just right for you.
As it comes towards the end of the challenge, and several people have dropped out,
the programme will become much more tailor made to suit the individuals.
The only real obligation is to give at least one piece of feedback each week, in the public thread.
It could be simply to say, that you found difficulty making the time to do the exercise.
As long as you give regular feedback throughout the two month period,
you will get the prize.
Love and hugs,
Lawrie
Permalink Reply by Caz on October 30, 2011 at 3:42pm right now ... i need a challenge, so unless the guidelines knock me out of being able to join in, i'm up for it
my one concern at the moment is mostly that i'll be without internet for 5-6 days next week so it will depend on downloading things before that time
thanks for a challenge
Permalink Reply by Fable Goodman on October 31, 2011 at 6:09am So for the six people who have shown willingness to commit one hour per day for two months
to their own self improvement here is the Link to download this weeks MP3
It is a recording I made almost thirty years ago, so the recording quality is not the best
and you may find my voice a bit different from more recent work.
However, none of this makes any difference, as
the exercise is not reliant on the
quality of voice or
recording
This is in a sense the warm up exercise for what is to come in the next two months.
Some of you may have done this sort of PMR exercise before
(but probably not for any extended period).
This recording is available for seven days for anyone who wants to use it,
regardless of whether or not you choose to take up the challenge.
After one week, people can still start the challenge.
I will post links to newcomers each monday.
For those starting on Tues 1st November.
I will send a private message with
next weeks assignment
next monday.
As the challenge progresses, subsequent weeks assignments will be modified
more and more to incorporate the feedback which participants have given
and will towards the end of the two months be tailor
made to suit each participant.
Bespoke therapy!
This weeks recording is about 45 minutes long and is best done lying down on a large firm bed,
or on the floor, where you will not be disturbed for the duration.
Put out the cat, turn on the answering machine,
put a do not disturb sign on the door,
or do whatever else is neccesary
to set up this 'Me Time'
Afterwards, give as little or as much feedback as you want, on how it went.
once a week is sufficient for the contract,
but more often is welcome.
The more you give, the
more you get!
Love and hugs,
Lawrie

I've admired your contributions here for a long time, have just made a commitment to myself to take the great advice I give others and so your challenge is perfectly timed. I accept. Just downloaded the relaxation file and will begin Nov. 1st, as you ask.
Also, I'm imagining you have 8 timepieces, although some of them may set themselves at daylight savings times .... computer, stove, living room, watch, plus four...
