the Free Hypnosis Social Network
Roll up !
Roll up!
Roll up!
Some of the 'old lags' on here will rememeber a thread from years gone by:
Back in the days of 2009, I started a thread with a thirty day challenge.
It became one of the most popular threads ever on hypnothoughts.
with twenty pages of responses.
It can be found here:
http://www.hypnothoughts.com/forum/topics/benefits-of-a-daily-pract...
I am about to set another challenge with prizes.
I am expecting less takers this time round as the challenge is for two months!
Who would sign up even before they knew what the challenge was?
Who would sign up even before they knew what the prizes were?
The challenge will require a commitment of one hour per day
for two months, starting from the first of November.
This includes a commitment over the christmas period and right up to new year's eve.
There is an expectation that each person who takes part, will give feedback,
at least once a week, but no more than once a day.
Last time the prizes were for anyone who took part,
those who gave the most feedback,
got more and better prizes.
This time prizes are only
for those who members
who give regular
feedback.
No pressure to sign up straight way!
I will set the full guidelines over the
next few days so any one
can join in at whatever
stage they want.
Watch this space!
Love and hugs,
Lawrie

Permalink Reply by Fable Goodman on December 4, 2011 at 1:15am Great to see that eight members so far have signed up to the private feedback group.
Which is about half the number of those said they were taking on the challenge.
This is pretty much what I would expect about half way through this adventure.
I am however keen that all who started are able to carry on if they wish.
If anyone who started, has lapsed a bit, wants to carry on, and feels
embarrassed about saying so in public, do not let that (or any other
factor) get in the way. Simply recommit , join the private group,
give honest feedback on how it was going , what got in the
way and how it is now going.
You can still give feedback in this thread,
but bear in mind it is public.
Having done some of the basic groundwork, the challenge is now moving on to the
interesting part...So far we have been doing fundamental, progressive relaxation
training, and building in a conditioned response (anchor) to the word relax,
without any use of hypnosis, although I know that some people will
go into hypnosis whilst doing this. From here on I will start
adding hypnosis to the process.
During the last week, those still actively taking part, have been doing an exercise called
'differential relaxation', which encourages them to move about and do simple, tasks,
whilst still remaining relaxed. This coming week, I will be taking that to the next level.
Then in the final weeks, I will be more and more tailoring the recordings to fit the
feedback I have been getting. Obviously, the more in depth feedback I get,
the better I will be able to do this accurately.
Just in case anyone missed this message last week, I will repeat:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am now closing the challenge to newcomers, I will be starting a private group that can be
used for comments and feedback from here on... you can still leave comments/ feedback here
if you want to, but some people would prefer to be able to feedback more confidentialy
which will also enable me to tailor the next month more to fit those taking part.
To join this new group, click on the URL below, you will be taken to group page,
where there is a yellow box near the top which you click on to become a member.
Your membebship will be approved, shortly afterwards, and certainly within a day.

Permalink Reply by Glen Hoyle on December 11, 2011 at 6:20am Hello Fabio,
Anyway I am in, and have been using it for the past few weeks. Relaxing so deeply, and the relaxation seemd to stay with me for several hours after the first listening, then the second time, I relaxed deeper, and the relaxation stayed around for most of the day.
Just he same as last time, it got better and better over the weeks, I then missed a day or two, for no particular reason except, by the time it got to bedtime, I had not got round to doing it. todays session was good, but I feel bad about having missed some days. Lingering guilt feelings like I have commited a major crime.
Today I'll re-commit, and wll keep the momentum building.
I notice that I am going throught almost exactly the same process as last time, and also notice Doreen, that you too seem to be repeating the same process as you did last time... I did not get the download for the quick and differential relaxation, but I still have the one from last time, on my MP3 player so have been using that, and it is going well.
Looking forward to the next stage, which is, if I undertand you correctly Fabio, is where it will become quite different from the last challenge.
Everyone who is in similar position, do stick in and keep giving feedback, (I know I have been lax on this!)

Permalink Reply by Sophie-Rose Parker on December 11, 2011 at 6:43am Hey Lawrie,
As you know, I too have been on the challenge from more or less the beggining, and like a few others, have sent you a few private messages with feedback about how it has been going.
I feel so relaxed these past few days, that I am just sailing through things, that previously, I would have been struggling with.
Also had a go at just doing the exercises without the recording, and found that just making the fists, seemed to trigger off the whole relaxation process. Like an anchor for the whole exrecise. I think I have built in a conditioned response. This is a great tool!
Thanks so much, fabled one,
I look forward to even more improvements as the weeks pass.
As Glen said, (Hi Glen!), So far it is pretty much the same as the first challenge, but although going through all the same processes, including battling with my commitment to keep doing it, this time it has been at a more subtle level.. Same resistances, same excuses, same rationalisations, but not as strong as the first time round.
With just a few weeks to go, I feel I have broke the back of the resitance, and am now in my stride. I have established a pattern of using the recordings at about the same time each day, and have planned my day around that, (only way for me to make it work). I actively look forward to doing it each day now, and am very much lookng forward to the next stage.
Bring it on!

Permalink Reply by Fable Goodman on December 11, 2011 at 8:32am Thanks for the feedback Sophie-Rose and Glen,
Glen, this years quick relaxation and differential relaxation recording varies only in sound
recording quality, the basic exercise is virtually the same as a few years ago.
For anyone who has been engaging with this challenge at any level,
Regardless of whether or not you have:
Stuck to the programme,
Fallen off the wagon,
or given feedback.
You are still most welcome to carry on at whatever level you choose. Here is the link to
download the 'Quick Relaxation' and 'Differential Relaxation' recording.
Quick Relaxation and Differential Relaxation
Do feel free to give feedback even if you
feel you do not qualify for the prize.
and for anyone who hasn't already got it, here is the second, better
quality and more detailed progressive relaxation session:
Latest version Progressive Muscle Relaxation
These recordings are free to download and use,
and you will not receive any spam from me.
Do feel free to give feedback even if you feel you do not
qualify for the prize. As many people have said in
the past, "the real prize is the taking part"
and the benefits that accrue.

Lawrie
