People tend to like his content and skills and dislike his marketing, affiliate programs, and hype.
I've personally never met him or seen his work to have a personal opinion.
Permalink Reply by macka on September 26, 2011 at 6:37pm I think his conversational hypnosis course is Good but personally I think his courses are a journey. If you should start with conversational hypnosis then go onto non awareness set then onto mindbending langauge and even his self hypnosis course he really does deliver what he promises. I think he's one the greatest hypnotists in the world.

Permalink Reply by Graham Old on September 26, 2011 at 10:47pm Namani, if you think 1 month is too much time to invest in learning life-changing skills I wonder what you are in this for.
Ian, my style of therapeutic hypnosis is very conversational. I originally trained with Stephen Brooks but have 3 Igor DVD sets. (Living in the UK, I haven't trained with him personally.) I find it incredibly useful material, though Scott summed things up perfectly.

I have just gotten Advanced Conversational Hypnosis package in the post.
Well it seems gigantic (many DVD boxes) and I have to look more carefully because I can not see there any over 600 pages book haha:)))
Maybe we are talking about two different courses (I believe there was Conversational Hypnosis package first, then Advanced Conversational Hypnosis).
As for "learning time" if there is so much detailed information as it is being promised then I love it personally.
Investment of several learning months seems to be literally nothing, of course if it's worthy material.
Hypnosis is one of those skills requiring life-time-learning.
Every day something new.
As for the package I find it well done. Nice packaging, flash cards, DVD's, manual.
I now jump into it:))
Thanks a lot for sharing your thoughts!
Ian
Like others have said, Scott pretty much summed it up. Igor's stuff is great (and unlike James, I love the detailed nature), but the guy he's partnered with for marketing purposes does some not-so-good stuff, imo. Only reason I don't have more of his stuff than I do, though, is lack of funds. I'd love to have his latest stuff.
Then again, I'd love to have David Snyder's conversational hypnosis stuff, too. And all the other instructors, too, lol.

I adon't about Igor's content, but I do know my friend and A-list copywriter David Garfinkel does his marketing and it's HUGELY successful.
I might be able to get David on an upcoming Hypnothoughts Marketing & Practice Building Teleseminar if enough people were interested.
Cheers,
Craig
Permalink Reply by Graham Old on September 28, 2011 at 6:55am Craig, my understanding is that Clifford Mee does Igor's marketing - completely with red text, yellow highlighter and 'offer ends soon' insults to our intelligence.
(I say all that as a genuinely big Igor fan.)

Permalink Reply by Graham Old on September 28, 2011 at 11:35am Actually, I avoided buying his stuff for years, as I couldn't imagine it was any good.
Thankfully, someone I know saw someone else's copy and was convinced it was good stuff. I then saw their copy when it arrived.
I nearly missed a quality product, because of the tacky marketing.
Now, back to the topic at hand...

I understand that "hype" seems to be a little bit too far... but the question remaining is... would you EVER know about Igor if for Igor did not use this form of marketing? The probability of this is much closer to ZERO than we think.
Permalink Reply by Dr. Dennis Robinson PhD on September 29, 2011 at 1:44am Obviously you might begin to get the picture I'm a serious student and have been studying Psychology since age 16 when I picked up a book of lectures by Freud, but I was introduced to Hypnosis in 1976 while studying Philosophy at the University, a short time later, I was reading Dr. Bandler who you would believe I admire as a great Hypnotist and Thinker. I currently have approximately 150G of Hypno e-books, audio books and videos, which include some of the greatest hypnotist and thinkers of our day. Of course this would include Ledochowski and of course I've read and listened to several of his courses as well as The late Great Milton Erickson whose talents I continue to read and study as dutiful as a religious scholar finding so many excellent morsels with each feast. Now there are many others such as Palieri, Jefferies and so many more.
I've read Blaszak and found his stuff sounds peculiarly just like Jeffries who wrote his stuff back in 1990's. But I don't see this art as tricks so I may be a bit biased. But there are Perkins, Cunningham to O'connell and hundreds others and yes I've read and listened to most of these and more daily . The videos are of course Dr. Bandler, Erickson, Kein, McKenna, Gordon, Best, Faulkner, and the list goes on.
But one thing about all the information I've gleaned over the past 35 years as I read everyday and use Hypnosis every day in the classroom at the University and do not hide this fact because I receive results where some people think it's magic and wouldn't you know some bible thumpers like to believe I'm the devils seed which could be true as I take no prisoners in my world, and when you notice me going around with my girlfriend a young 27 year old English teacher noticing the way she looks at this old man then you can feel I'm right here creating memories of the future and watching as my life unfolds just in that way I am imagining.
It's all about taking that one time and just stop and begin the process of finding that place inside where you may notice yourself being compelled to learn and it's not something you're born with or maybe it could be you might accept that or this suggestion as you become more serious about learning and see there's so much to learn as you observe human nature learning and using every little nuance and idiosyncrasy coupled with practice daily in every situation to become more familiar with yourself and isn't that why we all moved our minds into this field, so you may find that space where you can heal your emotional self to become who you potentially may imagine you will sooner than later?
