Do any of you record sessions for your clients? If so, do you do so all the time or only for specific sessions. i.e. for specific "homework" listening with suggestions, etc. My point or rather question is then: If you record have you noticed that your clients will not be as frank or as open when they know they are being recorded? Of course and more interestingly, even under hypnosis?

Hi Maria!
I video-record all my sessions. I feel that audio recording is more invasive. I believe my female clients feel safer knowing that the camera is there, but comfortable knowing that their every word is not recorded.

I video record all my sessions. I have a little thing on my contract that allows them to acquiesce to video recording. It stops a bunch of "he said she said" things from happening, I tell them it is for thier protection and I have never had anyone object. Frankly if they did object, they would fail the audition for a time in my chair and I would be sending them on down the road.

I don't record my sessions but I do make customizes Cds for my clients. This is a session in itself, it helps me give them more for their session. They seem to like it better because the cds are detailed for their issues...

I like the video..one question do you give them the video or keep them as reference...I know getting video they would be reluntant I think giving info,,,,just my thoughts.
I don't normally give them the video, but I could if they desired it. A male hypnotist has some issues that you might not experience Pattie, The video is there for thier protection as Sean pointed out. But, it is also there for our protection. It is difficult to fabricate a fantasy version of the session when you know that an actual record exists that could be shown to interested parties and then become the basis for a defamation of Character lawsuit.
