the Free Hypnosis Social Network
I have a friend who is taking applications for an office position, and one of the applicants has listed a Dr. Jeffery Lynn, Hypnotist, as a past work reference. While he CAN call the office and see what kind of employee this applicant was... he CAN'T know what kind of character the EMPLOYER has, which helps him determine what kind of employee this person MAY be....
Does anybody here have a recommendation about Dr. Jeffery Lynn, Hypnotist? There are over 8000 of us here on Hypnothoughts... SOMEONE must have some idea ..... and if not... that says something too.
Thanks
Richard

I found this on Google:
"Jeffrey S. Lynn CHt
Jeffrey S. Lynn is the President and C.E.O of J.S.L. Group Incorporated, and creator/seminar leader for Vision Slim. Jeff's background as a professional musician who toured internationally for over 18 years gave him his taste for travel and working with people. After experiencing hypnosis himself, he became interested in it's application with the nutrition and health fields. Jeff holds all four certifications in the field of hypnosis, and has lead thousands of successful weightloss seminars throughout the US for more than 13 years"
"...where our clients could lose all the weight they wanted to lose, rapidly, easily and permanently. The difference being, instead of paying the higher costs of private hypnotherapy coaching for weight loss, our seminars allow clients an extremely affordable option with the same potential for incredible, effortless, permanent weight loss."
His website is: https://www.visionslim.com/Home_Page.php and they do weight loss seminars. They charge $49.95 for a lifetime membership and they give a 100% written guarantee. Anybody wanna buy a bridge???
btw. What are the four certifications of hypnosis????

I also read that on Google, and laughed at the reference to him holding "all four certifications in the field of hypnosis." Even without any information on what his doctorate is in, that was enough for me to avoid him like a bad penny.
Thanks Val... Ted... I did see his webpage, but I thought I would see if someone had a personal experience. Maybe been to a training with him... took a basic course that he took also... something.. anything. I am probably going to let my friend know that as a business reference, he may want to discount that one....
Richard.

I don't want to unfairly characterize this man. I regret using the phrase, "avoid him like a bad penny." He never claims to be a doctor anywhere on his website. Of course, his assertion that he holds "all" four certifications in the field of hypnosis is nonsense, and his site does read a bit like an infomercial, but I've seen far worse.
I suspect that he is not a medical Doctor, nor does he have a doctorate in psychology or a related field since he would surely have included that in his bio on the website. Perhaps the applicant who worked for him just assumed that he was a doctor. If he was falsely claiming to be a doctor, or had a doctorate in a totally unrelated subject, then I would "avoid him like a bad penny."
I think the jury is still out on this one.
