I'd like to get comments, refferels, advice from any who have a mind to respond!
I want to become a hypnotherapist. I've been "helping" people for so long that it's time I did it for real. I've never actually done hypnosis on others however I did use it for the birth of my first child. I believe it is the modality for me as it incorporates my sensativity to others emotions with a very lovely voice. The next thing people are quick to note about me are my listening skills.
I've been to the NGH website and they have several schools and individuals listed. I've tried contacting some individuals but no response yet. There is a school in Gainsville that offers a very comprehensive program but the location is a problem for me and they are not part of the NGH, they belong to the ACHE whose certification seems to be a bit more stringent than the NGH.
I'm also becoming very interesting in NLP, but we'll save that for another post!
Any comments or advice are welcome. I live in Aventura Florida and would be particulary interested in communicating with someone in the area.
much thanks to everyone

Before you start paying schools to test the waters visit www.hypnosis.edu take the free course and then decide.
Gosh, if I lived anywhere in Florida, I'd take lessons from Gerald Kein, one of the greats... I'm not sure how far away he is from you - I think he's in central Florida, but perhaps you could take his video course and bolster it with some face-to-face lessons on the weekends...
Hi there, Cary. I live in Sunny Isles Beach (we're neighbors). Feel free to contact me.
Hi, I have been to the school in Gainesville, it is very intensive and has a good blend of hypnosis and NLP. I like the fact that is has so complete, because it allowed me to feel confident doing what im doing now. They offer 400 hrs of training and a lot of hands on, which is of great help to really understand how it works.
I understand the location is an issu for you but if you can find a way, it is really woth it.
In my opinion you really need to find training that offer a lots of hands on, how else can you know if you are doing it right?

Good luck to you.

PEACE

Hi Cary,

I highly recommend attending the Hypnosis Expo in Daytona Beach (May 20- May 26th)

This way you can meet and check out the best international, national and local hypnosis educators before deciding where to study-

Dan Cleary is in West Palm Beach and I highly recommend his certifications trainings--
FYI- When frontline pain specialists, dentists and allied health care professionals study hypnosis they usually are taking seminars or workshops taught by Dan Cleary and/or me (Michael Ellner)

If you take our two day post IMDHA/IACT conference course in PAIN RELIEF you will have the Ellner/Cleary edge as you complete you basic certification training and be eligible for your first specialty certification in Pain Relief as soon as you do...

See you in Daytona Beach-

Hi Cary,

If you are looking to get NGH Certified, I would highly recommend Sean Michael Andrews' training. He is incredibly knowledgeable having studied with the best himself; Gerald Kein, Gil Boyne, Richard Bandler etc. His web site is www.worldsfastesthypnotist.com. I think he has an NGH Certification Training coming up in July. (There is a banner AD for his training on this site) You get way more than you pay when you train with Sean! It would definitely be worth the trip! (Sean also gives you some NLP with his training)
