I call them Trance Partners because that's what they are.

I refer to my paying customers as "clients" and otherwise, I'm with Hugh, they are trance partners, even when they are unaware of the relationship. heh heh
When talking to hypnotists, I call them subjects, or clients
When talking to others, I call them "the hypnotized person"
When talking to them directly I call them by name.

LOL, Kelley! :)

In the marketing/PR world, anyone I do marketing or PR work for is a client, whether or not they pay me. Your mileage may vary.

Jay im saying when you ar talking about it to other people like when i say to my gf i hypnotized another client ,subject ,trance partner today get what im saying
gotcha
For hypnotherapy = Clients

For stage hypnosis/fun = Volunteers

For experimentation = Subjects
Zak summed it up very well. I find that "trancer" is a nice generic term to cover all the situations, in case I need it.

I have started leaving out the space and using the term trancepartners. No fuss, no capitalization, as if the word is already a part of conversational English. It is, isn't it? That's right.

Zak if your afraid your g/f would get upset with the term trance partner with Jay if you want to talk to her about your hypnosis your doing.. why not just use the first name... and be general about it .. nothing to get upset there and she won't feel like your hiding something.Nor will others for that matter.....

Hi Vic, Elizabeth, Kelly, et al

"Trancepartner" is cool -- Vic could always tell his girl friend "Chill love, I said that "he" was my trance partner not my "DANCE" partner =^..^=

I like "hypnotizee" I also use my clients first names --when talking to them...
