Hey
Well Derren Brown and covert hypnosis don't necessarily come into the same category, it is my opinion that on TV he is more magician than hypnotist, however, really when you think about covert hypnosis is extremely simple, as Conrad says, but that doesn't mean it isn't something powerful which you cannot study in great depth.

To my mind it is just enhancing the way we naturally communicate all the time, through the use of stories, hypnotic language, anchoring and other techniques many of which 'NLP' many aren't, it's something thats so hard to cover in a forum post, as it's an equally big topic as regular hypnosis.

If you just think about covert hypnosis as deeply meaningful communication, communication which seems to speak to the person as a whole rather than just hitting the surface veneer, and at least give thought to this belief as you study the resources that others and myself will link to, you'll probably find it very easy and rewarding to begin studying this art.

Usually though, i say if you want to learn something, then study from as many places as possible, practice, trial and error and
Specific questions, are probably the way to go :)

What i would ask you though, is what is your intention, why is it that you wish to learn covert hypnosis?

Cheers
Nathan
Thank you Nathan. That was the FIRST thought in my head...lol.

So: I'll do the deed and ask: Why DO you want to learn covert hypnosis, Delta?

I found on bittorrents Igor Ledochowski's conversational hypnosis course which includes manuals and CDs. I will let you all know how it went.
I am always astonished that anyone would think it's a good idea to publicly announce on a forum like this, that they are illegally copying and distributing copyrighted hypnosis training material instead of paying for it. Hello?

Well its there on the internet
Yeah, but making these products is how people make a living, if you can afford it pay.

I would fully recommend Igor's course for people willing to do the decent thing and pay for their investment, the website is conversational-hypnosis.com, Kevin Hogans materials are also not without merit, however i cannot and never will endorse the theft of fellow hypnotists products.
Yup, and since you are using a torrent client, it is also there on your PC, which is being used as a redistribution node on the network. Why do you think they call it "file-sharing"?

Well, I am sure that Clifford Mee and his legal people do not have the ability to impose a $2 million fine like the RIAA did this week against a file-sharer. Good luck! When you get a chance, please let us all know whose other hypnosis training materials you are copying and sharing on the internet.

The thing is, Igor's course (which is brilliant) is so cheap relative to the value that it is pathetic if anyone would use the excuse that they cannot afford it.

Do bear in mind before responding further to this thread, that the person who asked the question, has not logged on to hypnothoughts in over a year. and is most unlikely to read your response.

It always pays to read the whole thread before responding, and judge your replies accordingly.

Fear Fable:)
Does it really matter now?
I believe there are plenty of ppl here who have never asked such question but it may be interesting for them:)

Yes, you are right. Maybe the originator will not read it:)
But- the discussion is somehow his "baby" growing by itself:)

But you are right:)
I saw the discussion and followed it without checking when it was started.
I noticed something like that a few weeks ago. Discussion started by Gil Boyne (or someone with such a Nickname) although it was at least several days after his death.

Beauty fo internet.
What we place here may live by it's own life.
Like some profiles on Facebook... you can still send smiles etc to people who passed away...

SO- let's keep this discussion. No matter if originator reads that or not.
Take Care
