Keeping the discussion I think is fine. However I think Fable has a point. There is more than a hint of promotional material on the thread. I don't know if it belongs in the forum or the trainings for sale area. Lots of folks offer great "conversational/covert/superduper magic" influence courses. Some good courses are mentioned here also. Perhaps it should move to the training area and remain a resource in there where other seekers of hypno course information can find it. What say you Fable ... Can that happen ?

Hi Delta there are a bunch of different approaches you could take. I would start with what NLP likes to call Criteria and Values Targeted presentation. Link your product or service (specifically what the outcome you offer is) to their values and criteria. Constantly reference their criteria in your letter and show consistent proof to validate what you are saying.

You can also show proof in the form of stories and testimonials but always referencing back to what they stated is their highest level criteria.

That's one approach,

Here is another...

You can also wrap your presentation in hypnotic language patterns that presuppose what you want them to think and feel and ultimately what action you want them to take. For information on the 7 most powerful hypnotic language patterns you can use in writing I suggest you reference my 2 video presentation Called "S.T.E.A.L.T.H. - Strategic Suggestion Through Easily-Applied , Linguistically Triggered Hypnosis" that I did for the hypno-summit a couple years back it got rave reviews and is the simplest and most effective hypnotic language pattern system on the planet. of course I am biased :-) But ask around and get the direct feedback from folks who have actually seen or heard the materials.

It should be in the hypnothoughts store, if not let me know and I will find a way to get you a copy of it.

Hope that helps you.

There is plenty of materials regarding "hypnotic letters" and I would follow good stuff on copywriting first.
But if you are interested in covert hypnosis I would definitely go for some publications by Kevin Hogan.
I would be more precautious about typical NLP stuff because IMHO (which is absolutely personal view of NLP) it's over-advertised as if there were no other ways than NLP and NLP was the only perfect solution.
Joe Vitale has written some good stuff as well but I believe it's better for you to go for writing courses which are designed especially for this purpose.

good place to start.

How could I write effective hypnotic letters when I contact a customer? I am in the security industry and we sell security systems

HI Hugh,

I don't know about practicalities of transferring the discussion to the Trainings group.
Any member who wants to could post something relevant there .

But taking your point about the number of promotional links that were in the thread, I have now reviewed the thread, and deleted some of the promotional links.

And have reposted David's and Ian's valuable comments (Minus the Links).

So this thread now looks a little different.

I agree with Ian that it is perfectly fine to respond to (and rescusitate ) old threads, but for what it is worth, I personally think this thread was long dead, and it would be more useful if someone was interested that much in sharing information on and discussing covert hypnosis, that they started a fresh thread for that purpose, (without adding promotional links).

I await the flack.

Love and hugs,

Fable
I am Ok with that. You will see no flak from here, I am sure we will see a lot more discussions of Covert Hypnosis crop up here and there as the site rolls along,

Well the subject of the thread is "COVERT HYPNOSIS"

So I thought I would use the old subtle humour to covertly evoke a positive response

Glad it worked for you Susan.

Love you too.

Oh yeah-- You won't be getting any flack from me Fable!

Covert Hypnosis, like Santa Claus, is a marketer's dream and that's not all they have in common.
like you i am also looking for more covert. I know the basics though.maby we could talk about it.
I got slightly confused (probably because language bareers to some extend).
If your purpose was to confuse as well:) then Covert Hypnosis works fine:)

I am sorry Reg but this is a statement only without any arguments.
Would you please be so kind and use some arguments to make your point of view clearer and supported?
Otherwise you diminish the value of your own statement.

I would not agree that it's a "dream". The level of hypnosis is a dream but not Covert Hypnosis by itself.
Even insinuation or implication is a kind of covert hypnosis. You say something but the unconscious result is different.

I will absolutely agree that you can not totally control someones mind using C H but will not agree to it's non existence.
Or maybe let me ask you:
WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY COVERT HYPNOSIS?

Maybe your opinion is based on your perception of CH?
Thanks in advance:)
