I have no idea how one would do it other than covertly, but since you answer your own question by saying "it seems impossible", I agree, YOU can't. Unless you see it, you can't achieve it. MY question would be, WHY would I want to do this?

Nick, What would it be like if you did believe that covert hypnosis through text was quite possible? How would you recognize that shift in to your unconscious now.?

Seriously though, any medium of communication can be persuasive/hypnotic if skillfully applied in the right context. The language games group on this site might be a good place for you to explore this further. Jim

Perhaps it would help if you thought about persuasion in text first. How might one do that?
Then, once you've got a couple of ideas about that, start thinking about what hypnosis and persuasion have in common. It might be hard to see, depending on how you look at hypnosis. Don't worry about that, though... just keep the question somewhere in the back of the mind and stick around here... it'll come to you.
