the Free Hypnosis Social Network
This week Dr. Oz, the doctor that Oprah helped to make a family name, had a great segment
on gastric band hypnosis.
He had three overweight women that he interviewed five days
prior to the show. They were talking about how they love to eat. They've tried all kinds
of diets. They didn't think they could stop eating or lose weight.
Then he discussed the amazing concept of using the imagination to imagine that a gastric
band operation was performed. And that a person's mind could hold onto that idea and
get help with the way they feel about food. And become more aware of when they had
enough to eat.
After they educated the audience on the basics of this procedure they brought in the 3
overweight ladies.
They had been hypnotized 5 days ago, right after they were interviewed.
They were hypnotized to accept they went through an imaginary gastric band surgery.
The before videos clearly revealed that they weren't a very happy group. But in the studio
five days later, they were all smiles. They spoke about how they just began eating about
a half less than what they usually eat. They did it all without deprivation.
And it turns out that the combined weight loss of the three ladies was 15 pounds in just
5 days! It was a real great tribute to the power of hypnosis and to the
Virtual Gastric Band program.
And it was also a great boost to all of us that do the Virtual Gastric Band in our practice. My phone has been ringing steady, I've gotten of flood of website traffic, and my upcoming classes have gotten close to being oversold. ;-)
Thank you Dr. OZ

That's great! When was this episode? I can't find anything on the Dr.Oz site or the DVR...
Thanks,
Juan

some interesting claims therein
Is Paul Kenna's "Gastric Band Hypnosis "CD that he is promoting Sheila Granger's authorized work?
Permalink Reply by John Maclean on February 15, 2012 at 1:34pm Paul McKenna is promoting his own version of gastric band hypnosis while at the same time taking credit for the idea. Not very honest considering gastric band hypnosis has been available for over 4 years at least! As I said, the "version" of gastric band hypnosis demonstrated on the Dr.Oz show was McKenna's and not affiliated with any other method, including my own. Having said that, Marc is correct. The phones have been ringing off the hook!
Permalink Reply by Barry Neale on February 15, 2012 at 1:39pm Hi,
McKenna has a habit of copying...sorry "modeling" other peoples work. HIs book "I can make you slim" is almost a copy of the late Bob Schwartz's book, Diets Don't Work that came out in the 80's.
barry
Wendi Friesen ( http://www.Wendi.com) had a CD "I Can Make You Thin" before McKenna came out with his book he was promoting. He threatened her with lawyers & law suits. It would have cost her many thousands so he got his way.
