the Free Hypnosis Social Network
I watched an episode of 60 minutes on Sunday. There are 6 people in the US (that they know of) who can recite what happened on ANY day of their life (some have a limit back to age 11 or so) if you just give them a date. Marilou Henner (Taxi show) was one of these people. They have immediate access to their SCM file cabinet to recall events from morning to night of any day chosen at random.
They did tests with these people..well...you can watch it at http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-504803_162-20026088-10391709.html. It opens the door to further awareness of how the SCM organizes data and functions in memory. Open for discussion. Plus, other studies of SCM (provide links, please). This is fascinating.

Hey Mary Lou,
I watched that 60 minute episode as well. I agree,, I was fascinated to see how they recall things so well. The word that came up with Mary Lou was "Organised".
She organised her closet so well, one shoe with the heal out, one with the toe out,, her close organised by colors...
I watched their eyes when they were recalling things,, all went up either to the left or right.
The other common ground was, when asked to remember things, they would all say something similar to;
"Yes, I can remember that because... blah,, blah" so they all qued their S/C to remember that, thus improving the recall.
The other thing I noticed with all six people. When they were asked about something to remember,, and I'm thinking of the gentlemen, with the glass's who could remember every score in a series of football games,, It would be impossible to google the scores as fast as he recalled scores,, specific happenings that changed a game,, ect.. I was wowed by his recall..
Very cool show,, very cool topic,, and amazing to see people with that level of recall all together, sharing notes and experiences...
Hope you have a great day,
Scott Cooper

It's interesting how Marilou describes the process of retrieving her memories as "I'm there again...I'm looking out through my eyes..." : classic revivication!
