HypnoThoughts.com

the Free Hypnosis Social Network

What is your story?

Hypnothoughts came to me randomly out of the blue while researching on line.  I came on board and have been with happy thoughts ever since.

How did you first find this community?
Were you invited online?
Did someone tell you in person?

What's the scoop?

As a long distance follower of the LA sleepwalkers and the various groups that oozed out of it's rapidly dissipating membership, I was very familiar with Scott, Richard Clark and others who were early adopters of "educational group speak". When Scott turned his energy to something productive and viable and trimmed some long dead branches I hopped on board for the ride, ... and what a great ride it's been, I can honestly say that for as long as I have known Scott he has been all about providing great educational material to the Hypnosis Community without regard to one's Hypnotic "Pedigree".

I was Googling a teacher and came across his HT page. I think I was exploring for at least an hour, which was rare before I joined this forum. Now I can easily enjoy many an afternoon here and there is rarely a day in which I don't at least peek in.

Hmm...I wonder should I see a hypnotherapist about that....

I found this site while being Secretary for the ASPH (Arizona Society of Professional Hypnotists) One day a past President came up to me and said I have the perfect forum for you on line about Hypnosis. I am very sociable .. and he knew that .. and he said you will thrive there. The rest is history.. of course. He was right.. I love it.
Long but fast journey...

I had been searching online for self improvement and persuasion skills for public speaking (my first interest) and crawled up into some NLP forums and blog posts (having no clue what NLP was, did not like acronyms all that much either)... NLP the cousin of hypnosis as the site said...

long story short, I run into Hypnothoughts after searching on how to learn hypnosis and to be honest... Hypnothoughts kept my faith that hypnosis was real and that it could be done.

I have my summarized story of how I became a hypnotist here : http://lioninstituteofhypnosis.com/how-i-leo-gopal-became-a-hypnotist/

I found hypnothoughts in 2008 ,i think it was from an invite from another hypnotist via a social networking site, its a great place.
Shortly after I completed my training, I decided I needed to get the lay of the land in terms of the greater hypnosis community. I googled various organizations and asked my instructor about them. She directed my questions to Melissa Roth, who patiently answered my inquiries for a while before suggesting I should check out Hypnothoughts.

Wow. I'm glad you said I was patient for awhile. I think that is the first time anyone has ever commented that I was patient. Usually, they comment on my lacks--lack of patience, lack of diplomacy, lack of ............

I was having dinner at Jerry's Famous Deli in Miami one night with Scott, Roger Moore, Sue Hull and a couple of other people. Scott kept trying to explain to us about a web site he had been working on. None of us could figure out what he was talking about. But, we all promised to support him. So, when he launched it we all joined to support our friend. We all had an idea it would be good but I don't think any of us had a clue how important it would become to us and to so many others. We continued to support Scott as he put in hundred hour weeks and tons of money into developing HypnoThoughts. I remember we celebrated (virtually and in our respective cities) when HypnoThoughts broke 100 members! Wow. I'm proud of Scott and I'm proud of all the people who have gathered in one place and have agreed to play nicely with each other.
Here is an interesting thought:

About 35 people have joined HypnoThoughts so far this week. That means that there are still MANY people who don't know about this site.

If you think it is valuable, tell you friends and colleagues about it. Encourage members to join up and share with each other on here as we all create a community that is continues to grow by over 200 members every month.

Wouldn't it be fun to see people put down your name as the reason they joined this site?

It's free, it's fun, it's easy.
It's HypnoThoughts.com

Spread the word,
Scott
Looking back, I realize you were extremely patient answering questions from that young pup who was trying to figure things out.

Thanks, Melissa, for your patience and for telling me about Hypnothoughts.

I found it by searching sites to find information about hypnosis. I am unsure how long ago. I have been very pleased and visit often.
