Forgetting things
Is there anybody that could give me instructions on how to make people forget things (ie. their name, their age, etc)?
i would really like to be able to do these things just as party tricks, etc.
any help out there?

It would help if we knew what kind of training you have. Any stage class would teach you how to do that very easily. If you have hypnosis training you could learn it from a book.
I'm sure there are videos on youtube and for sale on DVD that could demonstrate and break down what is done, but I think you need some fundamentals before you start doing "tricks."
before you learn a magic trick, you should know how to shuffle the cards, etc.

Hey,
If you have them in somnambulism, just say: "when I have you open your eyes, you have forgotten your name" or something like that. And they will not be able to say it.
If they´re not in somnambulism, your semantics are more important. Start small and use leverage based on what they already have an understanding of. For example, after induction and deepener, glue their hand to their leg by saying something like this:
"Now, I will put the world´s most powerful super glue on your hand, and I will glue it to your lap like this. In a moment I will count from 1 to 3. With every number I say, the glue will dry more and more and make your hand stick harder and harder. By the time I reach the number three, the hand will be completely stuck to the lap. 1...blabla....2..blabla..3. Completely STUCK. In fact, the harder you try and move the hand, the harder it sticks. Go ahead, prove to yourself that the hand is completely stuck, that´s right. And release! You can move your hand now"
By now, they have a feeling of what "stuck" is supposed to feel like. You can use this to achieve amnesia by saying something like: "Just as your hand was stuck to that lap a minute ago, as I have you open your eyes, your name will be completely stuck somewhere far away in your mind, impossible to reach. In fact, the more you try and search for it, the more stuck it will become". And then, have them open their eyes, ask them a couple of distracting questions like "how old are you?", "where do you live?", and then ask them "So, what´s your name". Hopefully that´ll do the trick.
Oh, one more thing. After you give a suggestion, ask the subject: "If you understand and agree with this, nod your hand". This will increase your success rate for sure.

Actually, if it's just a party trick you're after then hypnosis is not necessary.
Get Kenton Knepper's "Wonderwords" or his "Time Machine and Touches" DVD for some presentations of what you describe.

Well, I don't want to put anybody to sleep or anything, I just want to make small things happen as i am having a conversation with them.
I don't like buying things off the internet, and i can't get anything like that around here, so I just wanted to speak with some experts to see if you could tell me how to do this type of thing.
Again, I want to do these things through conversation, not a trance.

Your best thing by the sounds of it would be to search for a friend of mine called 'James Tripp' his main way of working is Hypnosis without trance and is a very powerful solution without having the subjects eyes closed! Check him out

You know how when you think about something, you know you're going to forget it later, well I have a weird theory about forgetting things, now just because you know your going to forget does that actcually mean your're going to forget it, now, later or not, forgeting to forget is remembering, you know, how to just forget, remember or not, but remembering to forget is a whole new ball game, you know, but it is as easy as your reading this screen right now, but there a few few things to remember or so I thought, but I'm not sure, you know I do not know If I am forgeting or I just forgot and rememered to forget, you know what I mean, don't you or not, but thats not important, because were not talking about it yet weren't we, I know alot about forgeting now, you know what it is like to begin to become dazed and confused, some become completely dazed, confused and seem to forget things a lot when talking or reading things I write, you know what I mean. When I get ppl to forget things I like to let it go deeper and deeper still, because simply just forgeting for a minute is not enough, I want them to become completely confused, dazing out deeply and feel good while your doing it. Now, in fact as soon they do that, you will realize that, you can enjoy forgeting and remembering to forget, because you do it all the time, but you should forget the things, you want to you know and remember the important stuff.
I remember one video I was watching a video Miltion Erickson on lecturing, he walked up to the microphone and said "My name is Miltion Erickon, Pheniox, Arizonia, I here about talking to you about my work with, going into a trance deeply, I know some of you don't believe in hypnosis, but you when putting people, into a trance deeper and deeper still, the need to, go inside and tend to one's needs" and the first two rows bam, just driffing out deeper and deeper into a trance, you know.
