hi hypnothoughts
i have no previous hypnosis experience except reading dave elmans book and a book by tad james.
i think i have enough knowlege from elmans book in particular to start my experiences.
i am interested in studying hypnosis but i am very opposed to spending money on a 3 day course.
i am 28 and have a wife and daughter but from dave elmans book i have gathered that family members and friends are not a good place to get experience, how did you guys start?
im kinda embarrassed about failing as well.
any tips would be really appreciated as i really want to study hypnosis

Practice on yourself! You can make some recordings to listen to; that will not only give you experience in creating hypnotic patter, it will help you develop your tone and pacing. Plus, you will be the benefit of your own suggestions! I suggest you study up on formulating suggestions.
There are nothing as powerful as personal testimonials, including your own...
Have fun! Kelley
The thing with that adage is that there are more currencies than just money. I agree with the sentiment but when I say, "you get what you pay for", I don't mean it in the literal sense. If you are serious about pursuing hypnosis, get live training. I understand you are opposed to spending money on it, but understand that you get what you pay for.

I strongly disagree. I'm rather surprised that you believe this John.
