Good script book for the newly trained hypnotherapist

Is It that Scripts and Strategies in Hypnotherapy by Roger Allen is the only way forth? I am looking to buy a text book or downloadable document that contains a variable list of scripts to get me started. Any recommendations?

John Cerbone has one that I plan on purchasing soon. Go to his website and check it out.

Johns book is the one I recommend... It comes with a cd so u can print out just the scripts you need and bring them into session. Planning to use one of his scripts as a foundation for a session tomorrow
In the meantime, this is completely free and downloadable immediately.

click link to the free manual. There is no catch and it contains many scripts and ideas on script writing.

that sounds great.

I am the editor of two scripts books. Both were written by a hypnotherapists world wide so readers have a variety of approaches: The Worldwide Book of Scripts * Inductions and the Creative Guide. The Table of Contents is available on my website: www.trancetime.com. I have also received excellent reviews of the three books of scripts that I have written.

Allens book is superb if you are referring to his Hypnotherapy Scripts - neo ericksonian book. In fact it is the only book of scripts I recommend. Unddertsand the language structures and ideas used throughout and you will very quickly be off script.

The complete works by the same author strangely is not half as good.

Ah thanks for all the input I downloaded the freebie which was an interesting read, many helpful things in there. Purchased the Allen one after someone else's recommendation. Interested in John's book but quite pricey so am keeping an eye on this thread to see what else it chucks up.
I just purchased John's script book. I am anxiously waiting for its arrival. As a beginner, I want to at least be able to look over a good script to make sure I am on the right track with what I am saying.
If you join the International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association they have a great resource of online scripts that they are always adding to (and a teriffic mentor group too.) I like the Handbook of Hypnotic Suggestions and Metaphors Edited by Hammond (an American Society of clinical hypnosis book) as well as the HDR, Hypnotherapy Desk Reference - Motttin and Johnson, which has a cd from which you can print scripts. It outlines basic techniques for issues commonly faced by new hypnotherapists. The Hypnotic Suggestions book is more advanced. All of these books will give you ideas about how to begin structuring your own unique suggestions as well as a variety of theraputic approaches. Although I do not know Katherine and am unfamiliar with the books she has edited. She is highly respected in the profession and I am certain her reccomendations are wonderful as well. Thanks to your post I just became aware of John's book and plan to check it out as well. Hope this helps. Warm Regards. Lynn
I am a member. I actually was going to look into their online info last week but did not have my password handy. I will be sure to look into it tho. Thanks for the reminder!
