the Free Hypnosis Social Network
Okay, so I know this isn't exactly hypnosis-related, but it is or could be marketing-related. Google+ launched recently and is in semi-limited beta. I got in and so far am liking it, in large part because of the ease of filtering all the data coming in ... or going out.
With the use of "circles," I can send something out only to friends, only to clients, only to colleagues, etc. And I can easily switch between reading what my writing friends are posting and reading what my hypnosis friends are posting. It has some other features I like as well, but the big one is the getting a handle on the data overload.
So ... how many of you are on it already? How many want to be on it but can't get in at present? Who thinks it's a good idea from Google? Bad idea?

Permalink Reply by Craig Eubanks on December 6, 2011 at 10:15am Doesn't matter if you think it's good or bad, because Google has definite plans for using Google+ and it will affect EVERYONE who has a website.
Most people think Google+ is just trying to replace Facebook. Google is smarter than that. They didn't get to be a Billion dollar company in record time for no reason.
A colleague of mine who is one sharp Internet Marketer gave a small group of us a private presentation about a month ago on where Google is heading and how it will affect ANY business online.
It was a 4.5 hour eye-opening presentation. SEO as we know it is once again being Google Slapped. It's annoying, frustrating and a giant pain-in-the-butt, however when you look through the eyes of Google it makes sense for their business.
And these changes are underway now, but only implemented on about 8% of all websites. Matt figures it will take a year or two to roll it out to all websites, so the good news is you have a little time to prepare.
Google+ will play an increasingly larger role in how Google determines search results. To not be on it and understand how it will be used will hurt your search rankings in Google.
And where Google goes, other search engines follow.
At some point next year I may invite Matt on one of the Marketing Teleseminars to explain about Google+.
For now, I recommend you get a personal account and play around in it so you can begin to understand the tool. Just get to know it so you'll be able to use it as it figures more in SEO formulas.
