Hi Hypnotist,
Have you heard about Healthways WholeHealth Networks (HWHN)? It is a national network of over 40,000 CAM practitioners. HWHN works with employers, health plans and associations covering 27 million lives nationwide. It's my understanding that they are somehow a division of Aetna Insurance company.
Hypnotists can participate in the program. The hypnotists' practice is marketed as part of an exclusive practitioner network through member practitioner directories, websites, call centers and consumer educational materials. Participating CAM practitioners consult with and refer to each other, thereby bringing new opportunities to strengthen partnerships with other practitioners.
A listing of the hypnotist's practice will appear on HWHN's website
www.wholehealthpro.com and their clients' websites.
No claim forms need to be submitted. Members pay the hypnotist cash for service, less the agreed upon discounted rate negotiated with HWHN. This discount (between 10-30% which is at the hypnotist's discretion) applies to all services not covered by insurance.
On the paperwork I just got in the mail today, the Hypnotist must be an active, certified member of the National Guild of Hypnotists, Inc.
If you are interested in becoming a provider (they will send you clients - no need for you to do marketing) contact HWHN's Practitioner Recruitment Department at 800-274-7526 8:30am-5:30pm EST. It took me about a week to get the paperwork after I called.
Folks, this might be the biggest blessing for our profession. If you look at accepting the discounted rate as an advertising/marketing cost, you could be getting a lot of CAM clients.
Enjoy!
