the Free Hypnosis Social Network
Some of you already know this: Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday.
Here in the United States we have a day, every year, dedicated to just being happy for everything you have. Family gets together and sits around a table and just spends time with each other, without the distractions of presents, religious services, costumes, etc. This is the holiday where we just spend time with the people who love us.
I like to take a moment, every year, to say thank you on behalf of the team here at HypnoThoughts.com to all the members who make this community so great.
This site is so cool. Almost 2,000 people show up every day just to talk about something they have in common, to ask and answer questions, and to support each other on a scale that the industry has never seen before. What a great thing to be part of.
I'm sincerely thankful that you all show up as often as you do and share what you are comfortable sharing. I know the vast majority of people who read this site don't actually post anything, and I'm happy that you can learn from this site and enjoy the content in a way that you are comfortable doing. Whatever your participation level is, thank you for being here.
There are about 9,300 members of this community, and about 200 new people join every single month. Every month for almost 4 years I've looked at our data and said, "we did it again." We keep growing beyond what anyone ever expected. We've done this without advertising, charging fees, collecting membership dues, or having to decide what is or isn't the appropriate kind or amount of training needed to be here. This site has become something special in the field of hypnosis because of your contributions. People are showing up because you guys invite them.
Thank you for telling people about this community, and making them feel so welcome when they arrive.
We have so much to be thankful for, and I truly hope that you take a moment to appreciate all that you have and enjoy this wonderful little life we all get to be part of.
Have a great turkey day with your loved ones if you celebrate thanksgiving. If you don't normally celebrate it, feel free to get caught up in the moment and do a little thanking of your own.
Happy Thanksgiving,
Scott

Permalink Reply by Susan French on November 23, 2011 at 8:34am Happy Thanksgiving to you too Scott and Happy Thanksgiving to all of our US members. Don't drink and drive. It IS a good time to remember the things in our lives to be grateful for. It's easy to forget to be grateful. I'm grateful to be reminded.

Permalink Reply by Don on November 24, 2011 at 4:10am Thanksgiving can be great
Or make you pull out your hair
So to save your sanity,
Use extra self-care.
If exercise is something
In which you take part,
Work out BEFORE dinner,
Take care of your heart!
If there is drinking
Along with the eating,
Pick up the phone
and find an AA Meeting!
If Turkey Day finds you
At home all alone.
Go out, volunteer
And share, do not moan.
Put on the tea kettle
And have a hot cup
Relax on the sofa
And put your feet up.
Sit back and smell turkey
And pumpkin pie aroma
And as Dorothy once said:
There's no place like homa
(Okay, so it's not great poetry, but happy Thanksgiving from Annette and Don!)
P.S. It works for Christmas too.
I am really curious..... How many countries are having a Thanksgiving holiday today? Here in the USA its a pretty big national holiday... Stores are closed... offices and banks are closed... most people have the day off from work... I am seeing lots of thanksgiving well wishing from people I know are in other countries.. but I am courious if other countries celebrate at the same time...
Please Chime in with your country and a yea or nay...
Permalink Reply by Jackie Spencer on November 24, 2011 at 10:23am Just one more time, on the day for which these thoughts are set aside, Thank You Scott for this place which is way cooler than home at times. Thank you for and to all the teachers and friends who have come into my life because of this place. And thank you for all the future good times that are coming this way.
Permalink Reply by Fable Goodman on November 24, 2011 at 11:49am Most people her in the UK are aware of thanksgiving, from having seen it on
American TV programmes such as 'Friends' and 'The Symptoms'
As far as I know it is only America that actually celebrates it
and makes it a public holiday.
Love and hugs,

You may already know of words,
words of appreciation that have been known to reach deep inside a person where we keep our most wonderful feelings.
And more than likely, I do hope, when your awareness of this wonderful place is brought to your attention, one way or another, or even this way, sometimes we can feel a deep understanding and connection with all that is not only universal but timeless.
A connection with all that is good, with all that brings that invisible tear of joy, that feeling of true purpose…..what a wonderful feeling for anyone experiencing joy to the nth degree and that definitely is what this message’s purpose is all about.
Gratitude……..because I hear it’s the best way to live.
There are many of us who believe the world is not only a better place because Scott is in it, but that it continues to be a better place with the assistance of those you have reached, and there are many of us.
Scott, have another great day, not only today, but always.
Hypnothoughts is a wonderful place with wonderful people….I believe if you listen hard enough, you can also hear a round of applause for all who have been any part of Hypnothoughts…….ok, you might have to visualize and or imagine it, but why not take a second and listen…….(jobs well done).
I personally am grateful for:
Everything all the time which also includes everyone here on hypnothoughts, even those who have challenged me in the past. Happy Thanksgiving to all.
Your Friend,
Steve
P.S. And there is almost no truth if it appears I am sucking up just to assure a place in HPTI, well maybe....of course not, I’m sure.
Happy Holidays all.

Permalink Reply by Brunhilde (Bruni) Brewin on December 12, 2011 at 5:33pm We don't celebrate Thanks Giving 'Down-Under', but Christmas is just around the corner.
This story about Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer and how it came about is a beautiful story that I am sharing with my clients to remind them that in times when life seems to be going all wrong there is hope for the future. When one door closes, it leaves room for another door to open. This story started with a tragedy and a loving heart... I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Thanks for sharing Bruni and hope many doors open for you and others in 2012!
