I know both Randall Churchill and Marlene Mulder and they are both excellent trainers. Their school turns out very competent and well trained hypnotherapists. Randall is currently president of the American Council of Hypnotist Examiners. Katherine Zimmerman, on this site, originally trained with them. She now has her own school in Sacramento. And, there are a number of people on HypnoThoughts who have trained with them. They are very thorough in their trainings.

I have, and I can.
I've only followed the free online course, but by the value, and the great amount of info that was presented there, I can but wonder, :"If they give away this for free, what great information are they presenting, when I pay them?" I can only wonder......

This is a great school with a long history of excellance in education. Both Randall and Marlene have excellent reputations and a curriclum vita to back them up. I am going to second Melissa's recommendation. However, in this world of initials and acronyms HTI sometimes gets mistaken for HMI, so be sure you know which California based on line training couse you are taking.

Yes, as others have said, it is an excellent course that attracts people from all over the world. It is a thorough, in-depth training. I don't think they have an online course so I take it you're planning to travel to California? The school is located north of San Francisco in a very beautiful location.

Randall Churchill has been teaching professional hypnosis longer than I have been in practice, and has probably facilitated more regressions than anyone alive. I recommend his book on regression therapy to my students.

I first met him and Marlene in 1987 at a Gil Boyne conference, and believe both of them to be very credible and competent hypnotherapy trainers. If you live in the Bay area, you will be doing yourself and your clients a favor by studying with them.

I did my primary training with Randal and Marleen. I too, can highly recommend both them and their program. One of the things that was quite interesting was the efforts they took to expose the students to many different experiences. The first time I was there, Ormond McGill taught us, and in the evening he dressed up in tails and did a most entertaining stage show with and for the students. What a treat! Marleen and Randal brought people in from Hawaii, and various other destinations to explain different modalities. It was something. Highly worthwhile program, from two individuals who have dedicated their lives to hypnosis.

I am also considering getting the March intensive program, but still haven't decided yet.

I am concerned about what I just read in this post by Elizabeth.

@Antoine : HTI doesn't have any free online course. HMI does.

I am becoming a little confused by the twists and turns of this post. It seems that not everyone is talking about the same school, or the same owners. The Hypnotherapy Traiing Institute based in Santa Rosa, CA, is the one I think most of us are talking about. To my knowledge, the owners are Randal Churchill and Marleen Mulder. And to add to what someone else has posted, I do not think that they offer on-line courses (to my knowledge).
