Hi there - I'm interested to know where you are all at as human beings and hypnotists. Just for support, you know?

Me...I guess as a hypnotist, I'm excited to put all my training into full action, but spending more time on learning how to market smarter. Spending a lot of time online.

Also I'm a performer, so show biz (writing, acting) often borrows half of my mind.

I guess as a human being, I'm seeking better balance between passion for my work and basic self care (sleep, food, exercise). Right now I'm too willing to put myself last.

Where are you at?

I'd love to know in more detail what you mean by "an emotional, reactive understanding of cause & effect when it comes to decision making." Sounds like the introduction to a great book! t.

I'm in a good place, thank you for asking :-) I think this has come from an emotional, reactive understanding of cause & effect when it comes to decision making. It's probably taken 35 years to get to that point.

Thanks,

Adrian
Hi, Tanya,

Welcome to Hypnothoughts. As a hypnotist, I'm in the first year of having my business, and I'm looking forward to seeing it really thrive. Marketing is a constant process, and I find it's important to remind myself that I'm offering something of value to the people I approach.

Like you, I'm a performer--a musician--so I'm splitting my time between making music and doing hypnosis. I've toyed with the idea of doing stage hypnosis, since I'm already great in front of a crowd--but the main reason I took up hypnosis as a business was to stay home a little bit more. :-)

Take care,

James
Hypnosis is just like hobby at the moment for me. As a human being - i`m near the computer at the moment, as the hypnotist - very far from professional skills
It's strange being split like this...I want my performing side and my hypnosis practice to both do well, of course...but when one picks up, the other can get a bit neglected (or else I get neglected ;-). People say..."but which one do you care the most about"/love/enjoy/want to focus on' and my answer is always both. Even my astrology says both are in my life. Maybe someone's written a manual on how to live a double life...

Ooooh....what if our whole lives were like a hobby?! Thanks for that idea! I just heard about a guy (famous...fullerton maybe?) who took life to be an experiment. Certainly changes things...t.

Hello All,

Have fun.

Neil.
It has been said that one should choose ones hobby as a way of making a living, as it then becomes fun and enjoyable. I am in the process of doing that, moving into creating my hypnotherapy practice, though for the moment staying with teaching preschool special ed children.... Why.... because it is soooo rewarding to see what you can do for a little one, getting them started on their way into the world.

Hypnosis wise, I am feeling confident, increasing my tool box, and practicing every moment I find. The excitement is never ending! Our minds are so powerful, and we are not even using a fraction of its capasity....

Always Searching for more Tool!
Aino
