When I'm working with a client, I like at least two days between sessions. My intuition is that it's best to let a session 'sink in' before you start the next one. On the other hand, I don't like to go longer than seven days between sessions if I'm workng on a particular issue.

I'm curious as what interval between sessions you're comfortable with. How long is too long? How soon is too soon?

I like to do the first two sessions one week apart. After that, most of my clients come in every other week. I do a lot of deep emotional release work and more often than that is a bit overwhelming. If I'm seeing a client for pain management they come in weekly. I can't think if I've ever seen a client twice in one week in all the years I've been in practice. I don't like anything longer than three weeks apart unless we're at the maintenance phase.

I also go by the timelines you mentioned. Idealy is next session after to maybe three days. I also agree no longer than seven.

I have to be with Katherine I usually do weekly sessions for the first 2/3 sessions and after that they come in every other week, also it depends on the personality of the client some people may require a couple of weeks to process information specially the introverted kind.
I find it difficult to say what is too little time or too long between sessions, it varies according the individual and we all know everyone is different.
My 2 cents
