Reality... yes... using the soothing voice... massage of animals.. works. Even with animals other than dogs. I use touch and other modalities with animals.. even horses Doreen.
Here is one potential client, do i understand correctly you hypnotize......dogs? can you teach a dog not to bark when left alone or go into a frantic scratchiness state? guarantee? curious let me know

My respond was:

I cannot tell you for sure that I can can help for sure, I only can do so much..:)
But yes it is possible to help your dog.
I will need to know more about your dog as to age, gender, was he acting like that all the time? Is the dog suffering from any medical conditions?

In order for me to know if I can help, I will need a history of your dog... such as abuse from a different owner? was it always like that? Do you travel a lot? are you separated? all this can cause your dog to suffer from PSTD
(post traumatic stress disorder )

Now, I cannot guarantee 100% result, unless your dog will cooperate, "same like with human" :) as to fees, it is based on the case....

My fees.... are xxx...per session... plus I will teach you the tools myself so you can continue in helping your dog.... so your dog will not bark unless it is needed so a you and your dog can bound with love...

Of course Elizabeth, also we must remember especially dogs, they are very easy to communicate and yes horses as well, I love horses...

any suggestions as how you would handle this dogs barking and frantic scratchiness state ?

Thanks Doreen
Good idea, I have to see if I have the six-step reframing somewhere, so I can review it...

I'll have to try this out on my dogs. Although I will admit the lab in this video looks anything but "crazy" to me, matter of fact it looks totally laid back to me so not sure if you are working with a real "crazy/active" dog if you could do this but I'll find out soon will see what happens with my two overactive dogs, I'll leave out my third one because at age 15 he already is so mellow I'm always checking to make sure he's still breathing ;)
Hi Doreen,
You really need to send a message to Rachel who is Alex Smith's (Dr Jonathan Royles) fiance she is the master of all things canine including Dog Paw Reading!

Just thought you may like to know.
Regards
Robert.

P.S I can also do Dog Paw reading after receiving my training from Rachel - lol
I used the Tellington Touch massage plus my own made up version on my senior golden retreiver Maggie, who passed 3 weeks ago at 16 years, and I would say it had a hypnotic effect. She certainly enjoyed it and seemed to derive beneficial health results. I would also talk soothingly to her while I did it. I guess I should've been whispering in her ear about those crazy things she'd do from time to time.........

Well call me weird but I just watched the video with the yello lab supposedly being hypnotized and I had a very negative reaction to it. The lab could easily have been trained to do what he is doing and there just didn't seem to be any honoring of the animal at all......had all the earmarks of an adolescent prank for me......YUCK.

Put Your Pet Animal Into a Hypnotic Trance

By Doreen Cohanim C.Ht

You wonder how can I hypnotize my pet? Think about it, you have your pet animal as one of the family member, same as your own baby, they both hear, breath and active, their for what calms you can calm your animal..

You wonder how can I hypnotize my pet?

Think about it, you have your pet animal as one of the family member, same as your own baby, they both hear, breath and active, their for what calms you can calm your animal... just like energy.

Now here is a step-by-step guide to bond and hypnotize your pet animal.

First find a comfortable place for you and your pet, such as a chair, sofa, and bed or anywhere next to your pet. The their back as you continue stroking their stomach area in a gentle soothing movements, it is very important that you do it very gently and slow, especially if you want to build a trust between you and the pet, either if it is your own or others. You may remove your hand or keep the gentle massage over your pet's body.

Make sure you touch each and every part of your pet gently to condition them to your touch and movement, then as you breath slowly in and out begin to speak softly with a deep soothing voice to keep your pet in a state of trance...

If you feel comfortable play and touch their ear with a gentle stroke to create more deepening, then start talking a little faster with a humming dog sounds, (listen to dogs cry and dogs laughter and learn the happy sound of their voice then apply it within the hypnotic suggestions) it will take them deeper...

PS: If you have a pet, you will know what type of sounds your pet makes when they are happy or excited, it is almost like talking to your pet with a baby voice, the same way you speak to an infant.

With practice your pet will be conditioned to your voice using hypnosis to change their behaviors and to improve their health. When ready to bring your pet out of trance, hold their body with a firm mastery and followed with an authoritarian voice then flip your pet over to bring it out of the trance.

Make sure you praise your pet with you did great, good so and so, or good dog.

Please Note: Your pet can easily be distracted from sounds and noises from outside, and therefore it is a common thing that that they will break out of trance once they have been distracted and run out toward the sound, this is a natural instinct response....So don't be discouraged, keep practicing eventually they will not react to sounds or noises once they are deeper and comfortable where thy are within their minds.

I am fairly new to hypnosis but have a long history in animal welfare and rescue-- and I agree with Rebecca that this "crazy" dog has certainly not been hypnotized. She doesn't seem to be being treated very respectfully either (I believe they even refer to her as 'it' at one point).

I'd also recommend Tellington Touch as a way to go for something close to animal hypnosis that really puts the animal's well being first and foremost. I think the idea is fascinating but this is just not an appealing video at all and seems to be more of a joke than anything else.
I understand how you feel, This dog was a well trained dog and yes the dog was hypnotized like any other trained dog can be, I am sure they used some humor with it that wasn't so funny, but my point was to tell people that it is possible.

Thanks for sharing your opinion.

Respectfully, Doreen
I remember my dog would go into a spaced out place when I rubbed her chest, just below the collar. (The collar would be off at the time).

I'm not entirely positive that the dog was in hypnosis, but its possible. I remember reading about a technique (for humans) which used the fact that when you suddenly fall back, your eyes close. So when the dog finds itself relaxed and comfortable safe, and its eyes suddenly close..... All the pieces are there
