How To Write A Press Release That Gets Results (A FREE HypnoThoughts Marketing Teleseminar)

Don't Miss the final Practice Building Teleseminar For 2011!

It's time for the December 2011 HypnoThoughts Marketing & Practice Building Teleseminar/Webcast...

How To Write A Press Release
That Gets Results!

Discover how to Write successful press
releases even if you have never written a
press release before!

Dear HypnoThoughts Member,

How would you like to be on TV?  Or interviewed on a local radio station?

How would you like to have a full page article in your local paper or news website?

All of these things can happen from sending out a 1-page document called a Press Release

In fact, many hypnotists have been featured in local media including

  • Debbie Lane (Tampa FL) - St. Pete Times, TV & radio
  • Greg Turner (San Diego CA) - Featured as hypnosis expert on Good Morning San Diego KUSI TV
  • Debbie Papadakis (Toronto Canada) - Oprah Magazine, radio
  • Delores Merrell (Pennsburg PA) - Front page story Times Herald
  • Scott Cooper (Lake Orion MI) - 4 newspapers and 101.0 WRIF radio in Detroit

Scott Cooper sent out press releases for World Hypnotism Day in 2008. He later told me...

"I'm truly off to a great start, I have appointments all the way to the end of next week and I still have more people to call and turn into clients..."

Sending out press releases can have a HUGE impact on your business. You won't get a story every time, but if you send out releases regularly you will get media coverage.

And one story can have you fully booked for weeks!

Publicity Marketing is one of the top 3 low-cost high-return ways for a hypnotist to get new clients. Best part... it only takes an hour or two at most.

And that's what this month's Marketing & Practice Building Teleseminar is about. My Guest Expert, Kathleen Hanover has 20 years of experience in publicity.

She's helped Scott Sandland get a feature story in the Los Angeles Times. And she's going to show you...

How To Write A Press Release
That Gets Results

Our goal is to get you to write AT LEAST ONE  press release targeted at getting in the media this coming January.

It's a great time to do so because of the whole New Year - Fresh Start meme.  People want to lose weight, improve their golf game, quit smoking, be happier, achieve new goals, quit procrastinating etc. etc.

There are dozens of ways to riff off of this and HELP THE MEDIA come up with fun & interesting stories.

Kathleen and I would love to see hundreds of stories about hypnosis in January (and through out the rest of the year for that matter).

So... register now, and mark your calendar so you won't forget to join in.

Watch Kathleen Do A
Press Release Makeover

We are going to do something very cool on this live event!

On this teleseminar Kathleen is going to do a Press Release Makeover and you get to look "over her shoulder" as she does it.  This is a service Kathleen does for clients and would normally charge hundreds of dollars to do.

She'll be using some press releases written and submitted by hypnotists, and explaining each step what she's doing and why it's important.

We will be showing slides of the releases she is working on so you can follow along, sort of webinar style.

As my friend Ed Dale would say "no extra charge for Awesomeness!"

See you on the call!

P.S. I will attempt to record this for those of you who may not be able to make it. If the recording is successful the replay will be available for 72 hours after the event.

You must be registered to get access to the replay!

I've been getting questions about submitted releases.

Kathleen told me she has plenty to work with so we do not need anymore.

Cheers,

Craig

Once again, we have enough submitted press releases.  Please do not send in any more for this event.

Cheers,

Craig

Had some questions about viewing the slides online if listening on the phone.

We got ya covered...

The plan is to provide a download in PDF format which you can print out to follow along.

Once it's ready I'll send out the link to everyone registered.

Cheers,

Craig

I will definitely listen to the replay. This is fabulous. Kathleen was so helpful and giving.

Enjoyed the teleseminar a lot! Thank you Craig and Kathleen.

I feel armed and ready to revamp my PR with all the great information you shared. Awesome!

Thanks, Ethel and Juan! It was my pleasure.  :)

Hi Kathleen and Craig,

Seriouly useful and valuable seminar. I learned a great deal from it. Many of the things you spoke of I would have totally done wrong and I appreciate getting the heads up before I do them :)

gentle day,

Lisa

Thanks for the webinar today. A couple of follow up questions:

Is it OK to issue a press release jointly and list more than one contact? The release I submitted for this is about an interview I'm giving as part of a webinar series conducted by a colleague. The release is intended to promote free registration for the webinar, but also to tout both of our websites and skills. If you recommend only one contact be listed, should it be him or me?

Also, I was confused by the critique offered of my submitted release. Kathleen highlighted some of what I'm going to be offering in the webinar and said it was too far down in the release and that the opening didn't grab her.  To me the opening  contains the who, what, where, when and how (free webinar at noon on 1/4 with Scott and Dave). Are you suggesting the content details of the webinar belong in the first graf and the rest should be lower down?

Thanks for your insights!

Namaste,

Dave

Sigh, I could not log into skype and was directed somewhere where I was able to at first view the notes, lost that, but FINALLY, I just hooked in with my cell phone, I don't know what THAT was about....but I lost about 1/2 hour.

Of course it was great, Kathleen was awesome. Informative, outgoing, upfront, no nonsense. Perfect timing for me, since I plan on relocating...I totally forgot about press releases!I

I think you could do a lot more trainings Kathleen...just sayin.... ;)

Thanks Kathleen and Craig, loved it!

KISS JADE

I was able to listen via Skype on my phone (no usage of airtime minutes!) for a good hour before I had to stop. Phone was on the verge of dying and I couldn't switch to my computer. Kathleen was in the middle of the makeover part when I stopped, so I'm looking forward to the replay so I can catch the rest of it.

What I heard was good and well done. Loaded with useful tips and tricks and I'll be sure to implement them when I do a press release (planning on doing one for the WHD speech I'm giving in January).

Joshua

Great information as always Craig.  Keep up the good work.

Thanks Kathleen for all your hard work.

Thank you for the kind words!  It's always a pleasure to hear these events are enjoyed and beneficial.

Replay is ready and info on how to access it has been sent out to everyone who has registered.  It will be available until Friday.

If you haven't registered but do so by Friday, you will get the replay info sent to you.

I can't wait to see all the stories in the news in January!!!

Cheers,

Craig
