Permalink Reply by Donna Carter on June 7, 2009 at 5:23pm Thank you for your reply Henxy. I told my client that I felt that I needed a Dr.'s referral before dealing with hyperhidrosis. She got very upset and said that she refused to go back to the doctor saying that she already had and all they wanted to do was give her drugs and wanted to give her "painful shots".She is adamant about not going that route. She is hoping that I will work with her despite this? How do you feel about simply approaching this from a stress management angle? She originally told me that she had stress management issues and consequently got agitated easily in every day life.

I completely hear and agree with what you are saying. I spoke with her regarding dealing with her stress related issues as opposed to treating hyperhidrosis. I informed her that without having a doctor's referral I did not feel comfortable working with her in dealing directly with hyperhidrosis. We will be having a more in depth conversation this week. I very much appreciate your input. What is your background? You sound like you may have a medical background?
