But it has to be in their interests not yours and is only as a special occasion when it would be helpful. Like saying that their body would heal twice as quick etc.

Maybe I am using the wrong question overall.....I was approached by law officers here wanting to know if the was a way through hypnosis to make someone confess to a crime or to a lead, altough it would not be valid in court here in Mexico, it would still help them pursue the right leads. I thought of hypno sleep, we tried it once or twice once it worked the next...not.
So the question is, is there a way to have somebody tell the truth under hypnosis?

Hypnosleep has worked very well for me. I use it sparring and don't rely on it. The person has to pass all the tests to get to hypnosleep and if they don't you stop there and do a test at another time. Some people get nervous of the 7 breaths a minutes and come out but usually they don'g get pasted the loosing numbers test (proper that is). I found when I did courses in it that I would have the course and added in the prices was time to come back and go through it again to get over the tests not working. If the person was determined enough they would eventually go into it. Once you have got there then you can do a post hypnotic suggestion for using a word that will bring you immediately into that state again. My trainer Jack Mason would use it in hospitals on ill patients. He would just go in when they were sleeping and quietly say the suggestion. It had very good results. I use if to get to my subconscious and point out the part of my body that needs healing. A bit like telling a manager that the toilets have been neglected and they get onto it which ever way that is necessary. You can use imagination so you can tell the subconscious what you want it to do and it will go and get on with it.
You carry on when the person has not passed each test you are very likely to fail and the suggestions will not necessarily work. You test the breathing and it has to be 7 on under. If a person is in what looks like the deepest hypnosis they will generally be no less than 12 breaths a minute so it is easy to detect if they are in this state.

I may be getting confused but when someone is asleep they are not responding so they would have to come out of sleep to talk then surely that is a different state. I have used hypnoSeep for someone in a coma and to give suggestions for when they wake. Jack Mason started to see the value of it when he used to visit people in the hospital and when they were asleep he would say those important words "You can hear me but you wont wake up" about 5 times gently and then give healing instructions. The person asleep (not necessarily a client) would have unusually rapid healing that was noticeable by the nurses. Putting someone in hypnoSleep from hypnosis is more complicated but they are not expected to talk or remember. Some remember some don't. It is just something I have taught and used for years but not replacing therapy.

Just read some of the replies and hypnoSleep works a little differently. It is mainly for instruction (suggestion) directed to the subconscious. People would tell children (when they were asleep) when you wake up your toe will itch and they would wake up and scratch their toe. Having said that there is a special way to create the suggestion that is different from your normal suggestions. I cover it in my book 'Slim While You Sleep' in the mid 90's ( you can now buy it if you have an ipad at a fairly low cost or Amazon). I will try and look it up for you. The book had positive feed back but I cannot tell you a %.
Valerie Austin said:I have all my books. audios and suggestions selling on iphone and all my suggestions have a time for a chance to do the hypno sleep. This is the suggestion kicking in when you are asleep. The important words are, "You can hear me but you won't wake up" without this the person is asleep. With the words it alerts the subconscious to wake enough for the words to go into this dream like state. Does it work, yes, the % for audio tapes I do not know but I have had good success on myself and with others using it in actual sleep.
With hypnotic induced hypno sleep I always go from the hypnosleep to the ultra depth or 'N" phase that I teach and have excellent success with healing. On my site www.valerieaustin.com you will find a newspaper article in my press or newspaper area that has proof of me saving someones life in a coma she had lost 43 litres of blood and was dying. It showed on the intensive care equipment that when I did the Nth phase her temperature started to fall. It was recorded at the hospital and very exciting. It is an skill to do it properly and needs some instruction. Again Jack Mason is very good but if you email me on valerieaustinhyp@aol.com I can give you my number in the US and some pointers.

It hardly ever works for me, yet in Keins tapes it works wonderfully...could they be staged? or are we doing something wrong. Other hipnotists agree with me.

Valerie...I am not familiar with the breathing cycle or...pulse, could you kindly tell me a little about it?
Now, about hypnosleep...do you think it would work for example to get a man to confess he has been unfaithful?

Permalink Reply by Valerie Austin on April 6, 2011 at 7:54pm I see this is an old post but thought I would put my 2 cents in anyway, just in case you get this question or a similar one in the future. To my knowledge, there is no such thing as a "truth serum" whether it is chemically induced or in hypnosis. But, the go-to person to ask is Marx Howell. Marx is located in Texas, is a retired Texas Ranger and is the person who pioneered the use of forensic hypnosis. You can find him at http://www.marxhowell.com.
