I recently had someone inquire about hypnosis for mole removal.
Does anyone know where I can find information about this? Research? Personal experience?

I dunno but I've had various premalignancies removed and a big scar from my lip to my chin to show for it. It took over 30 minutes in the office surgery suite and several months for the swelling to go down...and this was a special surgeon with a special machine for taking the tiniest of slivers at a time. The scar is still numb.

You can do it if you like, but moles are often much deeper and much bigger than they realize going in.

However, I DID use self-hypnosis for calming down before the procedure and I went out like a light. But when I could feel the stitching at the end, even though it was numb so I couldn't really 'feel' it, I popped out like a cannon.

'Suptoyou, I guess. I'm sort of a chicken when it comes to pain. I can tolerate a lot of pain, but I certainly never intend to do so. At least suggest that the person might want to have xylocaine or whatever they use in addition.
