Hypnosis Helping Heal Herpes?

Hello Jerry,

Hypnosis cannot help get rid of genital herpes, a sexually transmitted disease that causes blisters and pain in the genital area, but it can reduce, prevent and even eliminate the herpes outbreaks, but never heal it, it will always be their and as long as the person is not suffering from any type of stress during their life, then they are OK to go, making sure they are using safe sex.

I had many clients who claimed to be healed from Herpes, but they did not, they just know how to live stress free, even though I tolled them that the virus is still their, they don't agree with me... as far as they are concerned, they are 100% healed... Of course they also use a spacial herb for it as well.

But hypnosis can help get rid of cold sores or fever blisters around the mouth most likely for good..

Just my opinion from my personal experience and what I have learned about herpes.

Hi Jerry,

I think of it this way-- Hypnosis can help people move out of chronic fight or flight states and into rest and digest states at which time our immune systems begin to put the herpes virus back to to sleep (remission) and as long as the virus is asleep one is symptom free -- When stressed the virus wakes up (re-activates) and the symptoms return untill our immune systems rally and put the virus back to sleep...

Hey Doreen -
Some times playing it safe is the most dangerous thing you can do-- We live in a very sex-negative society and herpes, like syphilis has been used as God's little helper to discourage sex...

There are tens of thousands of discordant couples (one member of the couple is sero-positive and one member is sero-negative) enjoying sex without sero-converting for more that 25 years.

On the other hand, millions of lives and careers have been destroyed by latex poisoning and allergies...

Hi Doreen - I'm curious - what makes you so sure? We create a whole new body approximately every 14 months. All thought, all memory all emotion occurs and is stored in every cell of the body. Our body is our sub-conscious mind. So - if someone one changed their thoughts - why wouldn't it be possible to be 100% free of herpes? Just one of my many wonderings.

Hi Roger - what makes me so sure? Since I am not a physician, my doctor tolled me that you can never heal from it, so I am only speaking what I was tolled by a physician :)
Well I said the same thing, but Mr. Ph.D did not agree with me...after all I am only a hypnotherapist and an energy healer, there for I have no medical expertise to prove him wrong, so do you say it is possible?

Hi Fellow Writers and Contributors,

Diseases - mmmm
I feel that as Roger said our bodies are self replacing organisms to a certain degree, as we know we all carry the elements to give us cancer but it lies dormant until it is triggered - sometimes it is and sometimes it isn't.
I have mentioned this as I have a friend who had dental abcesses and with positive thought alone they vanished! There are also factual reports of cancer cells being eliminated with positive thought and hypnotherapy work so I would say (personal thought of course) Herpes could be eliminated or symptoms removed using hypnotherapy work.

Just need the 2 main clinchers - your ability to believe you can do it and the clients belief that he and you can too.

P.S Jerry you never said what type of Herpes your friend has as many have made the assumption that it is Genital Herpes as Cold Sores are caused by Oral Herpes.

Hey Doreen - I suspect that anything is possible - And, as I understand alopathic medicine - there is no cure to herpes and I am not a medical expert. I have minimal experience with working with herpes and I know that by reducing the stress and using other techniques the clients have had no more outbreaks. Are they "healed"? I don't know. I know that one of them absolutely believes so (and is in a monogamous relationship) and it would never occur to me to tell her she wasn't.

It is so fascinating to me to consider the possibilities...

Dear Roger,

I am speaking from experience, since I have been working with male & female clients who had herpes, they all feel better.
Like I said, with stress reduction and educating the client, hypnosis can help stopping the outbreaks, but they also should know that they are not cured in regard, that is why it is important to educate them about what hypnosis do in relationship to herpes.
This is my responsibilities to tell them what to expect, so they don't come back to me in the future claiming i have promised them cure, since I cannot take that credit, I give that credit to them and tell them I am not GOD, it is between you and what ever you beleive in, I am only a vehicle to achieve your goals.

Hello Robert,

I did answer for both type of herpes, since I did not know which one was Jerry pointing out.

I also had clients who healed from Cancer, using energy healing and hypnotherapy, but they had a prove that those cancer cells were gone, when with herpes it shows that they still have it, only no outbreaks when treated with hypnotherapy and other herbal remedies, this is a medical fact.. I have never herd that the the actual virus is gone except with cold sores.

I have worked with Mothers who give child birth, man and women who have been raped getting the herpes and from unprotected sex thinking it will never happen to me, I can easily say I had more then 50 people that their out breaks stopped until this day.

This is all I can share from helping clients with herpes.

Oral herpes can be found on the genitals and genital herpes can be found in the mouth and lips -- and both strains of the virus produce blisters -- Most herpes is passed on from mother to child - Since herpes has the stimga of being "naughty" and sexual - Oral herpes gives one the space not to suffer from the stigma of being sexually active...

I want to loving and respectfully challenge the notion that your friends abcesses were healed by positive thoughts alone - although I am sure the positive thoughts helped... Our bodies are designed to heal and rebalance and they do so automatically as long as we are meeting our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs -- The best healing systems out there -- help our inner-doctors be more effective-- I am sure it is as simple as that at this time, based on all of the available info and my direct experience

Either way we are the angels or the messengers :)
This way they know that they have part in their own healing, it's about giving them the tools and the control.. after all someone like me that was all her life skeptical need to hear that, it is easy with other clients, but for analytical, skeptic and intellectual.. they need to hear that.

I have heard, on good authority, that the herpes virus does lay dormant in between outbreaks and there are suggestions that can keep it more dormant.

One suggestion, and you would have to alter this to fit your delivery and be totally convincing at an unconscious level with your client, that when the virus is dormant, it lays safely somewhere in the nervous system, (possibly), the suggestion I have heard that does work, is to image it supper glued safely to that spot, even in high stress conditions, still super glued to that safe spot, have enjoy being there even more than being active.

There is no known cure, but we do have control of how our bodies work. You may even get creative on why it lays dormant and allow it to multiply that set time by one million, besides, who sets the time and the reason it lays dormant....our unconscious mind.
