The podcasting idea is interesting to me, but I think podcasting is a passing fad. Youtube has now created 15 minute videos and other forums and formats lend themselves to distributing information more effectively. Every sunday night at 9pm I braodcast on stickam (NongardTV.com) and this is essentially a podcast/videocast.

I alsway post the weekly video archive in my group here on hypnothoughts http://www.hypnothoughts.com/group/professionalcoachingandnlp

And of course they are at www.stickam.com/hypnosisgurus also (dating back to 2008)
One can create a playlist on youtube and essntiallly stream hypnosis videos all day.... www.youtube.com/clinicalhypnosis should keep one very busy for many days learning all that I have posted over the years.

I suppose one could use a program to capture the audio from either my youtube or stickam and load it onto an mp3 player or ipod/pad which seems to be to actually be less work that all the BS of actually using the itunes store, which I have happily deleted now that I have switched to an android (which is the future). You hear it here first - apple with thier snarkey attitude and overpriced products with half the capabilities of the competition, will repeate its past and once again need a rally to capture 5% of the market....
Funny you should ask this. Richard Nongard and I just did a podcast a couple of days ago. I've actually been talking to some folks in the entertainment side of hypnosis about doing some podcasts. Since I'm still starting off I need to work on an overal format of the program. Tell you what, send me a private message on what you would like to hear covered, and what folks you would like to me interview. When you do this, I'll send you a link to the podcast that I did with Richard Nongard.

I'd post it in here, but I don't want to come across being spammy.

Richard, I'll beg to disagree on the whole podcasting thing. It seems as if you see podcasting as primarily from Apple and the Itunes store. There are a ton of quality podcast directory sites with a ton of really good podcasts on them. Do you see podcasts as only available from itunes? If so you should check the podcast out at http://prettygoodpodcast.com/?p=1080 with Scott Sandland. Its a pretty good podcast - pun not intended

Richard, check out some of the solutions for subscribing to a podcast via android.

p.s. I personally think it would be wise for you to have a podcast for www.subliminalscience.com You could probably convert the audio from your stickam show to an mp3, and simply post it via your website (with a podcast category of course). Then you have to submit the podcast category feed to several podcast listing directories. Anytime someone is subscribed to the podcast feed, anytime you submit a new podcast they get it automatically (via a feed reader, itunes, android, iphone, etc.). Helps to cover more ground.

Antonio, I bought the podcasting book you suggested, and am going to read it this weekend. So maybe I will have a different perspective. Also, It would not be spammy to post a link to your podcast, since it is a direct answer to the posters question....
Ah ok. Richard, if you bought it threw my affiliate link then I probably didn't enter my bank info correctly. Not a problem, it would have only been like 4 bucks that I would have made. Actually thanks for letting me know this, now I can go fix it with amazon.

By the way, heres the link to the podcast with Richard

thanks for all the great feed back on this topic btw richard nongard i added you to my friends list and have bookmarked your nongard tv and added you youtube channel to my subscriptions
Thanks Richard and Antonio,

I'm listening to the podcast as I type, and great content as I expected, everybody will benefit from listening.

I saw somebody on Monday that I did instant induction with a week earlier and he still creased up when I showed him the red pen even althougth I originaly used a clear pen with red top. It didn't seem to matter that now I used a red pencil. maybe it was actually the way I was waving it up, and down which I had done with the original red pen top?

thanks Richard /Antonio

I hope that podcasts won't be a passing fad! I personally love them, I can listen to them while I am doing other things like working out, going for walks, or working my current day job as a bicycle mechanic. It lets me 'learn' while doing. I will be checking out your links though Richard, I am a big fan of youtube as well.

From Podcast

Richard tells us about someone that visited him

Subject. Will you be video taping this Richard?
Richard. Well I hadn’t planned to but why would you ask?
Subject. How will I ever know what happened?
Richard. Because you will be here the whole time!

Absolutely priceless exchange from the podcast
They are not a passing fad. Call it what you want to - a podcast, an interview, etc. Interviews will never go out of style.
