HypnoThoughts.com

the Free Hypnosis Social Network

I'm going to keep this very simple:

HypnoSummit 2010 is two months away.  We have a great line up of speakers and some very exciting topics geared towards helping you build your practice this year.

Last year Scott won the "Innovator of the Year" award from the International Association of Counselors and Therapists for the creation of the HypnoSummit, and the innovations are going to keep on coming.  This year we added two different price tiers for you.  We have a Silver membership and a Gold membership, so that you can decide what you want your level of commitment to the HypnoSummit to be.

We are also going to be doing FREE teleseminars leading up to the event.  This will introduce you to some of our great speakers and get a taste of what people who register for the HypnoSummit will be learning.

If you haven't been to a HypnoSummit before, it's time to see first hand why people are calling it the biggest innovation in the history of hypnosis education.  You need to come see why people are glued to their computers for an entire weekend learning from a diverse group of presenters you can't find anywhere else.

If you are even remotely serious about hypnosis and building your skills and practice then you owe it to yourself to register for the HypnoSummit and get over 50 hours of hypnosis training sent directly to your computer.

Check out www.HypnoSummit.com and see why 97% of people who attend the HypnoSummit say they would recommend it to a friend.

More info will be coming soon, but for those of you who already plan on attending, you can register now.  Stay tuned for more details.

Certificates for CEU's were email out as pdf files to the email address you gave us when you registered. They were sent out a long time ago, so recheck your email or drop us a note and we will get it taken care of for you.

On a side note, were the certificates of the 50hr CEU already mailed out for last Hypnosummit? No rush, but I haven't received mine...
Z if you were a participant in the summit you need to send me a private message include the name you want on the cert and the email address you used for checking in. The CEU cert is for 40 hrs for the last summit. Please let me know, I can still get you the cert . This also goes for anyone else who has not received the CEU. They were not automatically sent out, you had to ask for them.

Kima,
The HypnoSummit (HS) is as close as you will get to attending a real conference without leaving home. Last HS I was sick and attended from my bed. What I liked, beyond the obvious great instruction, was the interaction between the presenters and the participants. All but one or two of the presenters, who had taped presentations, were available in the chat room while the presentation was being shown. The live ones were of course interactive presentations, both with text and voice available. Check out the list of presenters above and you will see that this is a quality group of well known people, recognized by the hypnosis community as great presenters, educators, and speakers.

The amount of work Melissa and Scott has put into this, is astounding, and it shows in the final product. There was a difference between the first and second HS, in that the experience of the behind the scenes team grew, and the HypnoSummit had received recognition as a great opportunity for furthering your education. Case in point is the availability of the CEU certs, accepted by an ever growing list of organizations.

As to the bonuses, downloads and promos, every presenter is different, and some have downloads available, some don't. I know at the first HypnoSummit, I took a presenter up on taking a test, and then received a beautiful certificate in the mail! Some presenters took advantage of using the 'booth' to sell their products, some did not.

I found this a great way to make a connection between some of the 'big ' names out there, their products, their style of teaching, and their methods. When I get ready to chose certification courses, I feel like I know them because we had a chance to chat during the HS and I saw them in action.

I can say for me the presentations were like being in the audience with a real presenter, as I in a couple of the sessions had a hard time not trancing out during demos. (Actually I did in several of them, but then i am told I am quite a trance junkie...I think, I just learn so much better in trance :P )

So don't miss it!

Hi Scott:

I just listened to the teleconference with Roy Hunter on parts therapy and it was excellent! It was great hearing you, Melissa and Roy on my speakerphone live!

I am very happy to hear about the ability to join with an extended gold level membership and have more time to enjoy all that the Hypnosummit offers. I unfortunately had to work the last two conferences, which mean I do four day stretches of 12 plus hours at a time. This year I actually have the actual HypnoSummit days off....Please don't change the dates! : )

You mentioned at the end of Roy's teleconference that these will be taped and available free to Hypnothoughts members. Since I work almost every Thursday, I would like to know if there is any way to schedule these teleconferences on different evenings and if not, where will the teleconferences be located on this website? Is there any chance in creating an email sign-up that will remind you to listen or click a link to find the saved taped teleconference, if you’re not able to listen live?

About the teleconference:
1. I got bumped off once from the site when it said the speaker left the forum. I dialed back in and got back on but hated to announce myself and interrupt the speaker. I announced myself only because a few others did before me, when they dialed in late, interrupting the speaker. I am not sure if I was heard coming back on or not?
2. I heard something about "push the # 4 button on the phone for additional options with the call". I did that and nothing happened. What did I miss with that option? Is this why when I tried to ask a question, no one seemed to hear me talk?

I really appreciate all the wonderful opportunities this site continually updates and offers! It’s an awesome site and I need to visit it more often!

Have no fear. The dates will not be changed. The teleconferences have been and will continue to be taped. Scott will have to determine where to post them so you can replay them. He should get to that part of his list in a day or 2. At this point we cannot schedule the teleconferences on different evenings but they will be archived so you can replay them at your convenience.

I apologize for the tech glitch that dropped a lot of people's calls off the teleconference. I live in a rural area and my entire road loses telephone reception when it is wet. We were having snow and rain/snow issues during the call and I lost service. Since I was signed in as the moderator everyone lost the call when I did. I apologize. We have not assigned weather to a team member to regulate yet but I'm sure it won't be long before some poor unsuspecting intern gets saddled with that chore.

Next week's featured speaker will be Marc Carlin. He will be talking about hypnosis for sports performance enhancement. Marc is an athlete himself and works with both individuals and teams for sports enhancement. Sports is a great untapped market for a lot of hypnotherapists. Join us next Thursday night. And, invite all your friends.

Hi Mary,

Thank you for listening. Note that due to a technical problem, ALL of us got bumped off...including me.

Chances are that you didn't miss anything.

Best wishes,
Roy

Perhaps its time for me to come out as a 'Weather Mage'

I have a long standing reputaion for sorting the weather out whenever I go away on a residential retreat.

It's all to do with whether I spin my staff clockwise or antclockwise.

The down side of owning up to that, is that if the weather is bad.. now everyone blames me. so Keep it just between you and me.

Love and hugs,

Fable
The certificates were emailed out long ago. If you attended and still need your CEU certificate, please email my assistant, Aino Welch at akpolarmom@hotmail.com. She will verify your attendance and email your certificate.

Our speaker slots have been filled for a few months already for this HypnoSummit. You can, however, submit your topic proposal for the next HypnoSummit. I've already committed to approx. 25% of those slots for the Sept. HypnoSummit. So, don't delay.

Hypnosummit 2010 is looking better than ever. Hopefully I can still get in as a presenter/exhibitor - getting my materials together and applying next week!

Fable,
I just spent a day with Bernie Siegel after rescheduling two previous times due to weather. I had all this "stuff" to do for our day together. He had to do only 2 things: #1 show up. Since we were at his house that shouldn't have been difficult. #2 He was supposed to sort out the weather. When the weather postponed us the second time he claimed it was my consciousness that caused the delay!

Obviously, I am not a weather guru. So, dear Fable, the weather is now officially your responsibility. Congratulations. The success or failure of the HypnoSummit now rests in your spinning staff.

For all of you who have not joined us for one of the weekly teleseminars yet.....each week we are giving away one free Golden ticket and 1 free Silver ticket. To qualify you must have signed up for the HypnoSummit that week. The week starts after the HypnoSummit teleconference ends at 10pm Pacific time and continues until the following Thursday's teleconference.

I take the names of everyone who has signed up to attend that week, print them out, cut them up individually and put them in a basket. I accoust someone's client who has the misfortune of being in the reception room just before the teleconference starts and have them pull 1 name each for Gold and Silver. Those are the weekly winners.

Last week was funny. The lady I asked to pull names wanted to put hers in the basket. She had no clue what we were picking names for but she wanted to be included in any prizes that might be given out. Well, I was feeling a little perverse and told her we were picking names for a truck load of horse manure to be delivered to her house or office. She quickly changed her mind and decided she did not want to put her name in after all. The funny part was that she was then squimish reaching into the basket as though the basket might contain manure as well.
