I was watching the Jesse Venture "Conspiracy Theory" and hypnotist Kellogg was on about the FBI hypnotizing people to act as secret agents like the mannurchurin candidates.

It showed him hypnotizing a man to become someone else by doing varies things and not remember to show that hypnosis was used by the FBI/CIA. This was last week but you can see the repeat it reairs during the week....

I saw the whole show, and (as expected) it was a mixture of truth and fiction- and of course very highly sensationalized.
There is no doubt in my mind that it will scare the crap out of people who know little or nothing about hypnosis.
Sigh...

My thought exactly..It made hypnosis look like we control their minds even if they don't want it to happen. It was interesting.

Dang, I'm agreeing with both Hugh and Saul. Kellogg must be a miracle worker to have united us so. :-)

Jeez, James,

You guys (or should I say "Hugh" guys?) make it sound like agreeing with me on anything pertaining to hypnosis is tantamount to agreeing with Usama Bin Ladin on his opinion of "infidels"! LOL
Patti must probably think I'm some kind of ogre (and even my poor long-suffering wife doesn't think I'm THAT bad-
at least she doesn't say so to my face...; - )

Acting as a lone Hypnotist, I agree with Saul also.
This piece was more about the MKULTRA program and less about hypnosis.
It did cast an unseemly light on hypnosis…

The hypnotist segment was actually pretty small. If one session can induce and cure a limp, just think what it can do for weigh loss!

I'm just teasing a little, Saul. I actually agree with you fairly often, but we're more heated about the times we disagree. :-)

James,

Well, I'm afraid that agreeing with me "fairly often" just doesn't cut it- I won't rest until every last member of H.T. agrees with me 100% of the time about EVERYTHING! (LOL)
And seeing as how I'm retired, I've got all the time in the world (not to mention the requisite pig-headed stubbornness) to wear you all down...; - )

MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
