As an HMI graduate, I felt like I knew Dr. John Kappas in person, even thought he passed a way almost few years before I joined HIM, I always felt his present at HMI, strange but true...
I have completed HMI in the 2004, where I have learned learned about E&P relationship Strategy, "Physical and Emotional" Suggestibility, and I personally thought it was brilliant especially the suggestibility test... For me those tools are a great way to build a rapport, as well as understanding my clients.
What was even more fascinating was to watch Dr. John Kappa's educational case study where he was smoking during his training while helping volunteers.
I feel that Dr. John Kappas has contributed a lot to his students, especially myself.
I have enjoyed reading all his books; among them that I can remember was the first book, The Professional Hypnotism Manual, Success Is Not An Accident, Advanced Handwriting Analysis, The Mental Bank Concept, The Mental Bank Ledger, Improve Your Sex Life Through Self-Hypnosis, Relationship Strategies: E & P Attraction.
Until this day I enjoy working with the Suggestibility Questionnaire as well as my clients, they lift an eyebrow as they wondering, wow, how does she know what to ask... At times I use the entire questionnaire and at times just few questions to get some idea as what is their suggestibility, and trust me, It makes it easy for me and my clients, since I find it easy for my clients to enter faster into a trance while doing so.
John kappas was a great Inspirational hypnotherapist and a founder of the Hypnosis Motivation Institute, Dr. John Kappas, died at age 77 from cancer in Los Angeles, he died on Sept. 26Th ,2002.
Dr. John Kappas is still touches many lives through his writings and teachings. http://www.hypnosis.edu/
