Hi, I am wondering whether most practitioners of hypnosis carry some form of practice insurance, or should consider doing so.

Thanks,

Jimmy

In this day and age, more than ever,
it is essential to have appropriate professional insurance.

Over here in UK, it is probably just
wreckless, unprofessional, unethical and short sighted
To practice without it.

I imagine that in the states,
it is probably illegal to do so ?

But I am happy to be put right on that if I am wrong.

I highly recommend carrying some form of insurance...even moreso if you're practicing in a fairly litigious culture. I'm covered by the APA insurance trust, which provides malpractice insurance for psychologists (though you have to be an APA member to get it).

For those of you who carry insurance...who do you use and what's been your experience with it?
