Maybe this isn't the right place to ask, but what the heck.

I'm fairly new to this site and have noticed the promo stuff going on for the hypnosummit.  I didn't attend the previous event/events (were there two?) so I don't know much about it.

I looked at the list of speakers and topics and I'm very interested in some of them, actually i'm interested in most of the topics.  But I'm on a budget, and don't know if it will really help me get better at hypnosis or if I should spend that money somewhere else.

to give you background:  I'm a part time hypno looking to transition into full time practice.  I've taken a few classes and read a bunch of books.  I've never gone to one of the big conferences like the NGH or ACHE (etc). so I can't compare them to that.

so I guess my question is this:  Hypnosummit, what's in it for me?

I guess I'm a selfish simian.

thanks in advance for any input,
Casey

Hi Casey - I'll admit that I am biased - but I think the HypnoSummit is the best training dollar out there. You can listen multiple times over 2 weeks, you get a wide variety of exposure to different points of view. When you've had enough and need a break - you can take it and come back with out missing anything. In-person trainings are certainly important too - but on a budget, you can't beat Hypnosummit - no airfare, no hotel, no restaurants.
Actually if you are not sure, what's in it for you, then this is exactly the right place to ask, as so many members of this site, have attended one or both of the previous Hypnosummits.

You are bound to get a good range of answers.

Most people who I have heard commenting on the last hypnosummit, seem to be saying that it was even better than the first one, and that they wouldn't have missed it for the world.

If spending money wisely is your criteria, there are a number of presentations that are tailor made to help you to get value for money, by improving the profitability of your practice, marketing tips etc.

I'd say go for it!

Casey,
I am also on a low budget, as a matter of fact haven't had the possibility to do any live trainings. My total sum of training has been home based or internet based, and the HypnoSummit is the greatest. It has interactive sessions with possibility to ask questions of the presenters. Even the pre-recorded sessions has had the presenter present in the live chat to add comments or answer questions. Not only did I learn about hypnosis, but also about the business end of the equation. This has been invaluable to me, as getting my business of the ground is a heavy endeavor. I am expecting to get another expert boost from this next Summit, too. Each Summit has had different sessions, even if some of the presenters have participated in all of them, the lessons are never the same... new topics and new approaches, just great to learn from.

I also found a whole new group of friends and mentors to interact with, to learn from and to practice with. Spending the time to listen and learn from the presenters, gave me ideas on how to marked myself, create special presentations for groups in the community, new techniques; and we had lots of fun chatting in the chat room and even connecting after the Summit. The added benefit of seeing so many different presenters in a short time, and taking the time to revisit the library for a second look, is that you can find the trainer who most fits the way you learn. It is like a sampler of training programs and trainers. Then when you have the resources to go to a live training, or you want to purchase a home study course or other materials, you have a good idea on how they present stuff, and their philosophy on training, and you can feel more confident in choosing someone and spend your money with them.

Casey, I highly recommend the HypnoSummit as a GOOD BUY, GREAT VALUE for what you get, accessible from the comfort of home.

When is now a good time to sign up, isn't it? Tell them Aino sent you lol

Please be aware that you need a Gold Membership to access the library after the HypnoSummit Weekend is over.
I just got a private message from Scott to please forward any private messages with negative feedback about the hypnosummit. He asked me to make sure to remove their names and respect their anonymity, or paraphrase the message, so that he and his team can learn what could be done to make the hypnosummit even better.

WOW.

There are so many cool things about that I don't know where to start. The fact that he contacted me because he is actively looking for feedback is awesome. He made a point of saying a couple times that he didn't want to know who was saying anything bad, but wanted to know what improvements could be made. if hes this dedicated to feedback and improvement theres no big surprise why all the testimonials and reviews i read were so positive.

He didn't ask me to tell you guys, and I hope he doesn't mind me saying so, but if you want Scott (or whoever is in charge of some part of it) to get some feedback about the summit you can send me the message and I'll tell him without letting him know who you are. (i suddenly feel like I'm in a secret inner circle of trust)

thanks for the input so far. I'm leaning towards signing up, but waiting to get more feedback. It looks like the Gold package is the best value, what do people think?

Hi Casey,

I'm completely biased, but YES, the HypnoSummit is COOL.

I'm presenting two sessions that may help hypnotists who are frustrated by how hard it is to promote themselves and attract new clients. Please consider this your personal invitation to attend.

Here's what I'll be teaching (this is updated from what's in the posted schedule)

p.s. If you're a beginning hypnotist, you really can't do better research into teaching methods, theories, etc. The HypnoSummit allows you to get "taster" sessions from the leading trainers in the field. And they're all hoping that you'll attend one of their in-person trainings someday, so essentially they're all auditioning for you, right in your own home (or office.)
Thanks for asking Casey-
and like I said in the email, this is absolutely the place to ask that kind of question.

If anyone has any problems with or suggestions for the HypnoSummit, please let us know. We ask for your feedback often and do our best to implement the suggestions. For example, we've added the pause, fast forward, and rewind features into the library since last time. I won't be offended or upset if someone has constructive criticism that can help us add more value to the event or experience.

Thank you to everyone who just said nice things about the HypnoSummit. If anyone else has insight for Casey (or anyone else still on the fence) please feel free to share!

If you are looking for more, we have These Testimonials from previous attendees for you to check out as well.

See you at the Summit,
Scott
Hi Casey,

I'm too am biased. I have presented Direct Response Marketing sessions at each of the Hypnosummit conferences, and I was so impressed with what Scott & Melissa created I offered to help them get the word out to help make it one of the premier Hypnosis Conferences in the world.

One way you can find out what it's like, is through the FREE Pre-Hypnosummit teleseminars. Every week the teleseminar features one of the Hypnosummit Faculty teaching their unique special knowledge. And if you are on the call you get to ask questions.

The reason we are doing these free events is so people like you, can get a taste of what the Hypnosummit will be like.

There is one every Thursday. Full details for the one this week are here:

Pre-Hypnosummit Training: Hypnosis Courses for Nurses - Breaking Into The Lucrative Medical Market with Kathy Moore (Mar 11 - 6pm PST, 9pm EST)

Also, if you would like to see the program for the Hypnosummit which has the schedule, session descriptions and speaker bios, you can find it here:

Hypnosummit Schedule & Faculty

One more thing, and this is important since you are on a budget... The Hypnosummit is a killer deal.

56 training sessions with 38 experts in Hypnosis, NLP & Practice Marketing starting at only $150 (Silver Level). If you do the math, that comes out as $2.68 per session to learn from some of the best minds in the business.

The top tier (Gold Level) is only $250 which works out to $4.46 per hour of training, and at Gold level you get 3 weeks extra access to the conference video recordings, plus a pile of bonus goodies.

That is an amazing value! I tell Scott often the price is way too low. But he wants people to get the benefit of learning from some of the most experienced hypnotists and top trainers so he makes it extremely affordable.

You can see a full cost comparison with other major hypnosis conferences here:

Hypnosummit Cost Comparison Chart

Let us know if you have any more questions.

Cheers,

Craig

P.S. I forgot to mention... this is the ONLY conference this year featuring one of the NLP legends, Steve Andreas. How cool is that?
I always have those same questions Casey. I participated last year. I learned A LOT. I made connection with some people I felt I could really learn from as well, so I wasn't floundering about where to spend my next "education" dollar.

If you want to transition to full-time practice, you have to educate yourself in all facets of business building: becoming better at what you do, finding clients, marketing and promotion, talking to clients who inquire and getting them to book, making decisions about how to run your practice, etc.

Once you've connected with these people through hypnosummit, you can connect with them privately at any time later to ask a question or get a suggestion. You've supported them. You know better who you want to ask and whose opinion you value.

You get a chance to really meet and get to know the top people in our field. That's also vital as is networking. You can't beat it.

I understand money being tight...trust me. And I understanding about spending lots of money on books and trainings. The money you dredge up for hypnosummit is worth it. Scott is also giving about some tickets in exchange for getting the word out (I think that's what I read).

Scratch the money up. It's a good investment. Also, we need to support Scott for ALL he has provided for us for free...which is this forum. There is nothing like it in any field. It's brilliant and essential to all of our successes. And, scott has no agenda or anything he's trying to sell. That should tell you something.

It's worth it. Hope to see you there. I'm having to scratch the money up myself this year, economy and google nonsense being what it is and has become.

Best
