I've stumbled upon the beginning of a metaphor which may end up having a profound impact on my perspective, in the way I frame my current situation in life. It begins with the concept of solvency (if I have the word right)...solution and dissolution. Can someone help me finish it?

When water and salt combine, they create a solution. However, if the water evaporates the salt remains. It's form is altered, but it remains. My question is: How can the salt be made useful again?

Any insight would be appreciated!

Metaphors and similes are great, but it can be much simpler than that. Mail me and I'll send you somethings to help you right then and forever.

Hello Jackie : I was reading this metaphor that you have put up here, and I felt obligated to respond with another , and I trust that it may be of some use to you or someone else. So here it is ... I
*** " THE SOLUTION TO POLLUTION, IS DILUTION. " I hope that this can be looked as a healthy reframe to benefit your concept to find solvency .

Water attracts salt too, a saline drip helps doctors preserve life. Salt helps fishermen preserve fishmeat. Salt and water corrode steel and aliminium - Man made. Nature?

To add more to the experiment:

Salt in water is corrosive and salt also attracts water.

Hello Graeme, I gather this was a hypnosis future progression workshop. If I may add that as a Life Coach we, too, do use "future self" exercises in guided imagery. It seems to work quite well and is also a handy tool. Warmly, Gail
