I'm wondering if you would consider this hypnoses - just watching this video I got the same feeling I get with my therapist, sometimes. Maybe it's just this guy's voice...

Sure it is. But then I define hypnosis very broadly. Most of lifes experiences are hypnotic. Surely this video is.
Its a method of relaxation, I listened, and yes, entered a light state of trance, as your therapist would of told you I am sure, you yourself can easily enter a hypnotic state, simply by sitting in your chair or laying down and focussing on your breathing, you don't even need images!
Thank you for replying... Yes I often meditate but it is not the same as the sort of calm exhileration I feel ... hm that seems contradictory - maybe it's more like a feeling of well being - when I've had a session. with my therapist That is the same feeling I had when I watched the video - maybe just deeper than when I am meditating on my own.
You will often find a session with your therapist will be deeper and more relaxing than a solo session with yourself, usually having the guide to take you into the trance is deeper, plus as your therapist the strong level of trust and respect will have been established, therefore as it has more than likely been suggested, when sitting in the 'therapist chair' that's your special time to relax and so forth, each and all are different, however I am just trying to explain a little why a session with your therapist may for that matter seem a little deeper?
