Hey everyone, how are you all doing. I am wondering if anyone would want to lend their talents to 'teach' me self hypnosis. I just want to be hypnotized and taken to a deep trance, then given an anchor to bring the state back at will.
You may like to start of with the free Guide to Self Hypnosis that you can download from my site. People are successfully using it from around the world.
Antonio - look through my videos & go to my web site - there is plenty of information on self-hypnosis & how to do it. Feel free to shoot me & email and I am happy to go into this in more depth with you
Just for general use. For instance I've been keeping a dream journal lately as its easier to remember my dreams since I quit drinking. I would like to be able to 'incubate' a dream, by possibly stating to myself "I am going to enter a trance for the purpose of having a dream about me going back to school"...or "being at the cottage", etc. This is not the only thing that I would like to use self-hypnosis for. I would like to use it for a multitude of things (learning, going over study material, etc.)
Hypnotizing oneself is the easy part, it's what to do AFTER that is where it gets a little more challenging :)
I like using tapes or recordings of my own voice. When I want to make a change in myself, I write out what I want to have happened, describe it, detail it, look for the words and phrases that are the most meaningful to me. Then I flesh all those things out into a script, adding details or other little flourishes where I think they might be useful.
When I record it, I run through the usual inductions, hitting on anchors I typically use to get me into the state. All of that is the same stuff, but the suggestions are customized depending on what my mental mission is. I just read it aloud and improvise here and there, and then listen to the playback.
Hi Antonio! I basically do the same thing as Jason. Create a script for myself, record, then listen. I like to listen to it at the low energy part of my day around 4pm and use it like a power nap. Often towards the end of the script I'll leave a 5-10 minute space of ringing of a Tibetan bowl for lucid dreaming or problem solving or simply balancing my hemispheres---always a good thing:)
Jamie, I finished up a recording last night. It utilized eye closure/fixation with some imagery of a switch to turn my eyelids on and off...then I used a 10 to 1 count to further relax my body. I tried to use this last night, but I ended up passing out. Today when I used it I was getting into a decent trance. On my track I have the following suggestion:
"When I wiggle my right thumb and say purple poppies, I will return to this same level of trance or deeper".
When I fire off my suggestion my eyelids get heavy and my eyes start to roll into the back of my head. This all happens within a matter of a few seconds. Then I have suggestions to take me back down even further. I go down, but not as much as I'd like to. With regular listening to this track, should I be able to get to a nice deep trance?
