Making a Hynosis CD Program for Sleep!........Any suggestions, thought, or inputs!

I am making a hypnosis cd for sleep to sell at the back of the room for our next three upcoming shows. The self hypnosis cd's were an idea, that came with the recent launch of our web-site just a few months ago. I am really looking forward to making this cd, but as I research different methods, I am beginning to see that there is many different ways this cd can be done....
I am interested in anyone's thought, idea's or concepts on how to do a good Hypnosis CD for Sleep!

Use a hypnotic induction suggesting sleep, etc., then embed the background with delta and/or subdelta waves and soothing music. The human brain with syncronize with the brainwave patterns on the CD, and sleep should follow.
I was going to suggest the same thing Dennis did. I love binaural beats. Every person I have used them with has raved about how easily they transition from a fully alert state to a hypnotic state and right into a deep sleep state.

Good luck

i do pre-recorded hypnosis sessons too, so id be glad to give in my 2 cents! for the sleep sessions ive done so far, one of them has binaural beats, which help calm the mind even more, as the words are already being taken into the subconsious mind to give an added 'boost' to the sleepy mood. another approach i like to use with most my sessions, is realisic nature sounds like a creek with spring songbirds for example. i personally love any of the "water" sounds, because the gentle, constant flow of the stream, river, ocean, rain, or waterfall....will actually enhance the constant flow of the client's breathing while they sleep.
Where can one get a source of binaural beats?
i found the one i used on youtube that was in with a bunch of relaxing sounds an music vids, and conveted it into an mp3 file using an intenet sound-recording software i downloaded that is free.

You can creat your own using Audacity (free software download). I have given Amanda the instruction that I use to create the binaural beats and I will paste them into this message.

Binaural beats can be created in Audacity. If you don't have it go ahead and download it (it's free!!!). Once you have it installed go ahead and open it up and follow these steps.

1. at the top select Tracks, Add New, Audio Track
2. Repeat step 1
3. Select the first audio track in the lower window and click on the down arrow next to the words Audio Track and select Left Channel.
4. Repeat step 3 for the other track you created but this time choose Right Channel.
5. Slect the top track (the one you made left Channel) and then at the top of the program click on Generate, Tone.
6. Change the frequency to 100 and change the duration for 60 seconds (just for this example). Click OK
7. Repeat step 6 for the Right Channel but this time make the frequency 104. This will create a binaural beat in the delta range (.5 to 4 cycles per second) which is associated with deep sleep. Click OK

Now go ahead and click play and just focus on the sound (headphones enhance the experience) and you will feel yourself beginning to change states.

Binaural beats are the way your brain interprets the 2 different frequencies in each ear and tricks itself into hearing a beat that doesn't really exist. You can do the same thing to create theta beats (which are associated with deep hypnosis) by creating a frequecy at 100 in the left channel and 106 in the right channel.

this is the one i used..... http://applian.com/sound-recorder/

it lets u record pretty much anything online with audio, it is saved as an mp3, to later be burned to a cd if so desired! and its all free. so, like if u open up a new tab, and find some other bit of audio u might like such as music, you can record them both together as one track, pretty neat!!
Jack,

Thanks, I have Audacity. Time I learn how to use it.

Cheers Jack,

your instuctions were very clear, and easy to follow, I have just had half an hour of fun, playing around with that.

Thanks for the gift.

My pleasure Fable. The great thing is you can create a beat taylored to the length of your recording. What I have done is created a sound file that is about an hour long, starting at about 8 Hz, for 10 minutes and then transitioning to 4 Hz, for the rest of the recording (for standard hypnosis recordings). Then I layer music on top of that. The next thing I do is save the beat and music as an MP3. Then when I want to make, say a weight loss recording I open Audacity import my saved MP3 and put on my headphones. When you click record you can hear the binaural beat/music combo as you create your recording. It is very useful for pacing and helps you to get into the right frame of mind. When you have finished making your recording you can then clip the length of beat/music section down to match you voice section. It may sound a little confusing but once you do it you will understand what I am saying.

Thank you for the great tutorial, Jack! You should make one for YouTube... I'm putting my 16 yr old techno son onto this!
