I have a client who wants to manifest wealth. I have read about this and thought this a simple problem. The more I thought about this the less I knew about. I have no idea where to start. I am tempted to just give her Dr. Kappas's book, "Success is no Accident" and a "Mental Bank Ledger" and wish her good luck. It did me no good but perhaps it will work for her. I know you get what you focus on, not what you want. But I have don't know how to design a session to achieve wealth. If I did I would start with me. Who has had success with this and please give me a clue.

I would sit down with her, and work up finite goals with her. Identify her roadblocks, and maybe work through those roadblocks in session with ego-boosting and visualizing the end-results. Manifesting wealth is also just as much lifestyle design and helping the person create or increase money-making behaviors as well. Also, I'd suggest Deep Trance Identification to assist in the manifestation process, especially if she is committed to practicing self-hypnosis outside the office.

I would definitely get her started on the Mental Bank, also.

Hope this helps!

Hi Kent,

I would start with finding out a history of life style, why they want to be wealthy, what stops them, their old believes, habits and other related issues.

I have helped others with Manifesting Wealth, and maybe this article will give you some ideas how to work with your client.

By the way Dr. Kappas's book, "Success is no Accident" and a "Mental Bank Ledger" is great but it won't be helpful if you don't care of the old patterns. ( you can use what it is in the book to teach your client, will be much more affective then just reading the books, they need help to do it, and that is why you are the hypnotist :), to help them make it happen.

Start by understanding Metaphysics and the Law of Attraction, which the principle of attracting wealth is derived from.
The most infuential text in this area is The Master Key System (what the movie "The Secret" was based upon and the book "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill)...
This is the starting point for understanding, and then translating this to hypnotherapy.
I have attached a .pdf of the complete original text as an attachment.

Anyone interested in wealth should read it. The rumor is Bill Gates read it at Harvard, dropped out and started Microsoft. Of course, that will never be confirmed.....

Being wealthy, just like being happy, or being good at golf, or attaining education or anything else that is important is a combination of hard work, organization and mindset. Mindset is the most important of these. Many people do not understand the mindset of wealth, both in terms of sloppy financial habits and not even knowing how to define wealth. The most valuable principle in the Secret, or Master Key System, is that "Like attracts Like". To fail to see that belief, attitude and empowerment; or concentration and visualization are not hallmarks of success is to overlook the obvious. Hypnosis can be effective in attaining wealth by addressing all these things. Nobody thinks that after one session "wealth will just flow to them" but many people who learn the skills of mental acuity, and the attitude of success and the principle of like attracting like, find it a lot easier to make money in the future....
I am all with Richard, true, true, true :)

Scott,
Wow really don't have to guess where you stand and for the most part you right. Lots of folks jumping on the think and grow rich/ magic manifesting bandwagon, But pay attention to what Richard is telling you also because there is more to the story than the first chapter.. "What you are thinking about you are being about.... Energy flows where thought goes ... They are more than little bromides to start your day off right. Directed intent coupled with a good attitude and productive directed hard work can go a long way toward increasing one's base cashflow. We as hypnotists have the tools to build positive intent and clear negative thinking, That;s a great skill to have, and as Richard said... It makes it a lot easier to make good decisions and make money in the future, So ,,, While "the secret is getting a bit shopworn and over comercialized to many of us, the underlying intent of developing and holding positive mindsets is still a vital part of how people work. And the last time I looked we were all people.

They are a bog crock -- filled with many truths. I watched The Secret again the other day. A lot of crap, all based on very valid principles. The Master Key System (did you read the text I posted) was written by one of St. Louis most successful businessman at the turn of the century. I sure don't agree with everything Haanel wrote, in fact he had a few strange ideas, but I can also learn from a man of success the principles that guided him. Decades ago when I graduated with my degrees signed by Jerry Falwell, I believed I knew the truth - and I am so happy that I realize know how little I knew then and how much can be learned by changing my attitude and looking for the message within rather than throwing the baby out wiht the bathwater.

How to attract wealth (from me, a man who has not had a paycheck since 1994, and living very well): Mindset is 90% of the game. In 1993 I was a staff therapist for an agency contracting with the state of Texas. I went and asked my boss (the CEO) when I could be CEO... she told me how to play the corporate game and told me I was on track to be CEO within 20 years.... I turned in my keys the next day. Started my own company with no customers, no real product and a borrowed $1500. My motto then was, if you don't like where you are in life, put yourself where you want to be..... 90% of wealth, happiness, golf, happy family relationships, pain management or anything else in life is mental, and I try to learn from everyone.... Mediation adn hypnosis are great tools for both developing and creating mindset.

Tonight I took my kids (they are old) to see Zombieland... the message was as valid as the Secret: Wear your seatbelt, and enjoy the little things in life.....

I learn from everyone, and life has been much more enjoyable (and profitable since)....
I'm with Richard on this.

Mindset really is 90% of success, in my opinion. I may or may not understand the mechanisms behind "The Secret" and the "Law of Attraction," but they seem to work for me. And how!

I take Sandler sales training on Tuesday mornings, and one of the "Jedi Mind Tricks" they teach is the "$1,000 an hour" mindset. It's a tool you use to help you decide if you should be spending time with a certain prospect or stressing out over a sales presentation. You just ask yourself, "If I billed $1,000 an hour for my services, what would I do right now? How would I feel about this situation?" (Seriously, try it sometime...it's way cool.)

Two years ago when I first started Sandler training I was billing about $25 an hour. A couple of months ago I hit an effective hourly rate on a job of just over $850 an hour. (This is a little misleading as I don't bill by the hour, or else clients tend to hyperventilate.) I have the same marketing and PR skills I had two years ago (for the most part) but my mindset is completely different now.

Now, is my brain creating a different "energetic field" with a $1,000 an hour mindset than it did with a $25 an hour mindset? I have no idea. I don't know (or care) how my brain can manifest these things, but it can and does. I'm just along for the ride. :)

iPersonally, I'm not too sure that I'd want to work with clients on issues like this. But that's just me.

Maybe they'd find it more helpful to learn to be content with what they have?
Dear Kent,

It doesn't matter how many books or "programs" a person studies if one factor remains clear: when a person does not really care about money. How many people treat money without respect, letting it flow in and out of their lives without care? Sure, many of us claim that we WANT wealth, especially when it's time to pay our expenses or plan a new acquisition or experience, but the actual truth is that many people really dislike money and what they perceive it represents. Some of this attitude comes from our upbringing, from past experience, from our culture, etc.

There are lots of positives to having wealth, but along with it are also negatives. In order to make the "switch" into being a person who truly desires and accepts wealth, the focus to those positives has to be stronger than the negatives. That's where hypnosis can play a major role: unearthing those mental beliefs that are undermining gaining success and wealth (are those necessarily synonomous?!) and reframing them. And how much wealth is enough? If this is not explored and defined how can a person achieve it? And once that goal is attained, then what? And when we are talking about wealth, is it only money that is desired? What is a person's definition of wealth?

As you can see, questions are the answer for a client like this. You can pose them; the answers will lead you two in the right direction.

I am now going to enjoy the wealth of my garden this sunny morn.

Best wishes, Kelley
The misbeliefs of clients are a very real problem in hypnosis - but are not the problem with hypnosis. To say "The problem with this Manifesting Wealth stuff, is your going to get people expecting and believing that not only that they can be hypnotized in to millionaires, but also that is all it takes to become wealthy." can be said about any aspect of hypnosis. Many clients, for example think they can be hypnotized into quitting smoking, and that is all it takes to quit. Many clients believe, the can be hypnotized into loosing wieght, and that is all it takes to be thin. Many think all it takes to be a pro golfer is to be hypnotized. You seem to want to get rid of the hypnotic concepts becasue of the potential for this misbelief, which is common no matter what hypnotic problem we are dealing with. In my pretalk, I let everyone know, hypnosis is not magic (a counter to the belief they came in with) and that is it an educational process (a reframe of beliefs). I let them know I cannot make them quit, lose weight, end anxiety, create wealth, or whatever. I let them know, instead I will TEACH them how to do it. And that hypnosis is the way we relearn patterns in our subconsious. I liken my role to that of a teacher, that will teach them how to suceed, by following my post-hypnotisc suggestions and recomendations.
The problem you highlight, is a problem all accross hypnosis, and one a good pre-talk solves, even when doing wealth manifestation work.
Well said Richard,
Hypnosis is about learning ... Its actually about the way we learn. Its about the thoughts, ideas, beliefs, and opinions that set boundaries on our actions and behaviors, I always explain to my clients that we cocreate the "magic" that happens during the process. I have a part, they have a part. Thier part is to follow my guidance, unlearn undesirable behaviors, thoughts and OPINIONS and be honest open and willing to entertain new behaviors thoughts and OPINIONS that all make up a piece of thier new belief system.
