I live in a small town in Iowa and have done hypnosis off and on. I would like to start a practice, but if feel that I have no support here. I would love to have anyone that lives near here or even online to talk to.

Leona,

It looks like you found the right place...
We can't seem to stay quiet in here...talk, talk, talk...
It's what we do.
Support? That's here, too.
Info on practicing - check! That's here, too.

Wow, it's like you just hit the lottery or something.

My best advice is to... gain confidence in who you are (if you need help with that I can guide you to several hundred hypnotherapists who can help you with that), keep learning about hypnosis, language, nutrition, to do a good job of helping people make positive changes in their lives.
... and ...support at home? What is that? Who needs it when you have covered the first two bases?
Find a mentor online here (can't find better support than from someone who knows what your talking about and where you're trying to go) and...then....fuel your own fire...

See yourself where you want to be.
Start doing things that will move you toward those goals.

Hey Leona-

That's exactly what this site is for. There are specific groups for starting, building, and marketing a private practice, a script bank, and even a place to find more training.

In just a few months we will have our third online hypnosis conference, the HypnoSummit. That's another great place to chat with people live and learn from some really big names.

We have a lot of great members and useful resources here, and I hope we can help you find whatever you are looking for and get you the support you want.

Feel free to browse the site and ask and contribute where you feel drawn.

Let us know if we can help at all,
Scott
