the Free Hypnosis Social Network
I want to make you guys aware of a couple things before the weekend starts, and they are all about money. How you can donate it, save it, and spend it. Let's talk money:
Donate Money:
As many of you have already seen, one of our youngest members has a mother in the hospital. Leo has been a member here for years and I have known him to be a good guy who really cares about being good at hypnosis and helping people. A while back his mother got sick, and the family is trying to put together the money to get her the treatment she needs with a specialist. Antonio created a 'chip in' account that allows 100% of the money you donate to go directly to Leo's mom's medical bills. A bunch of hypnotists have already donated over $2,000 so far, and many others have pledged support to give products, coaching, and support to anyone who donates to the cause.
This community is great about rallying around someone in a time of need. It's awesome to see when you guys step up and help each other out. I'm asking you to do it again. I know a thousand of you will read this, and if each of you gives a buck or two Leo's mom will get the treatment she needs. I'm not asking you to give anything you can't afford, I'm just saying that it only takes a dollar or two from you to be part of making a big difference.

Save Money:
You already saw my announcement about our new school, HPTI. We are giving away full and half scholarships fee waivers to people who need them. We are going to be giving a few away in the next 10 days, so if you haven't already filled out your application, do it now.
We are also giving a 50% discount on the 5 day live training with me if you sign up soon. If you want to learn hypnosis, or learn more about my approach to hypnosis, the class is a no-brainer. If you want a full year program that will give you an awesome education, go for the full year at HPTI for way less than many week long courses.

Spend Money:
I don't endorse products very often, but I think this one is cool and I like the guy who made it. Roy Hunter has an ebook out called 28 insights from 28 years of client centered hypnotherapy. If you are new to the profession this would be a great way to skip some hard lessons and learn from Roy's successes and failures. (full disclosure: Having Roy write this book was my idea, but I get no money or commission from any sales. The guy has just been around doing the work for a long time, and there is value in his experience and insights).
That's it for me. I hope you all have a great weekend,
Scott
PS- do you guys want to more "money talks" posts like this one from me? You know I'm always happy to get feedback.

I'm interested in the book by Mr. Hunter. I looked at the description, but I didn't see the number of pages or the topics covered. I'm one of those people that likes to know those things before I spend money. I always look at the table of contents on amazon. No offense, Scott. I trust your opinion, but I would like that information. I bet others would too.
Once again, thank you for all you do!
Permalink Reply by James Szeles on November 18, 2011 at 12:18pm Hi Scott I would like to share something I've learned over the past two years. Many of you are on expense medican and a large about of your paychecks or unemployment go's towards paying for it. There are several programs set up by the drug companies to help you get your medican for free. Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson are just a few who offer this service, and not just for the medicines they make. NeedyNeds and Prescription Assistance Program are a good place to start.

I notice you struck through the word 'scholarships' presumably because you thought
it was not exactly the right word, but was in the right direction...
how about framing it as full and partial 'Bursaries' ?
@ Lonnie: I just had a sneaky look, and I can see that Roy's Ebook is a full 64 pages,
and at a glance I can see there is some good stuff in there.
Not only that, there is the free product of the week,
which this week, is one of my progressive
relaxation exercise sessions.
LOve and hugs,
Fable
For everyone that donates...please be patient in regards to your "door prizes". Give us some time, we'll get you the things that you donated for.
Antonio
p.s. thanks to everyone who donated
Permalink Reply by Tim Shay on November 18, 2011 at 2:07pm Hey Antonio,
Just a thought (speaking from the perspective of a one who has donated and a person offering donated services)
Is it possible to have a list automatically compiled and forwarded with those who qualify for the trainings/coaching or product to those who are providing the trainings/coaching or products? Does that make sense?

Actually no that doesn't make sense ;) It feels like you just used some super duper confusional language pattern on me ;)
Just messing with you. I don't think we can automatically forward that list.

Permalink Reply by docregal.com on November 18, 2011 at 6:52pm More info is spot on. What is this product? How does it stand out from the books written? What makes this read so important? Who will benefit from reading it, i.e. who is the target audience? Any reviews posted?

Permalink Reply by Fable Goodman on November 19, 2011 at 2:37am Plenty of information is available.
Anyone who is interested, can simply have a look in thehypnostore
Click on ebooks
click on right hand side to 'browse by vendor' which will take you here ,
and look at Roy Hunter's page where you will see a bio which says:
Roy Hunter is the published author of several books that are highly praised by professionals; and he is an experienced trainer with a strong background in sales. In addition to teaching professional hypnosis and advanced techniques to professionals around the world, he teaches self-hypnosis to groups and clients for personal or professional motivation. Roy’s presentations include numerous workshops both in the USA and abroad, for groups and business as well as for international hypnosis conventions. Besides selling self-help since 1983, his sales experience includes insurance as well as various in-store products. His hypnosis text, The Art of Hypnosis (3rd Edition, Crown House Publishing, 2010), is required reading at many schools of hypnosis around the world. The professional hypnosis training course he wrote and developed is currently taught by other instructors. Roy was inducted into the International Hypnosis Hall of Fame in April of 2000 for his written contributions to the field of hypnotherapy. His parts therapy text, Hypnosis for Inner Conflict Resolution: Introducing Parts Therapy (Crown House Publishing, 2005), has received raving reviews. Roy was awarded an honorary doctorate in clinical hypnotherapy (for lifetime achievement) from St. John’s University in 2004. Then, in 2009, he was awarded a Ph.D. from Alpha University and California University with a major in clinical hypnotherapy.
If you look at the specific book Scott was recommending you will see:
Upon popular request, Roy Hunter shares 28 insights gained from 28 years of experience practicing client centered hypnotherapy. Learn from his experience what may help you become an effective hypnotherapist. He also shares his learning experiences so that you can avoid making some of the mistakes he made over the years. Numerous hypnosis schools do not cover what Roy teaches in many of his 28 insights, so you will find information not normally taught.
The number of pages, (as I said earlier) is 64.
If you need more information than that, you
could always send Roy a message,
and ask for specifics.
Roy is one of a number of vendors who have kindly agreed to allow some
of his products to be used periodically as 'Free product of the week' .
The free product of the week changes (as you might guess) weekly.
By checking regularly, you are likely to find bonus free products,
which are actually worth far more than the product
you are choosing to pay for.
Hope that was helpful,
Thanks for asking.
Love and hugs,
Fable
