hey everyone. i am currently looking for a hypnotherapy school that will give me everything i need in order to make it a career. time and travel is an issue (i've got a wife and kids). i live in nebraska so something close would be great. if it's a short course, travel will be ok. i've talked to people at bennet but their course is only 16 days. sounds great but is it too good to be true? if anyone has gone to this school or knows of another one that would work for me, i'd love to hear about it. thanks

Hi David, I would suggest HMI, they have a good long distance education.
Check it out at www.hypnosis.edu see if it is for you I usually don't endorse anyone but this one is pretty good.
Hope it helps.
Cheers
Michael
David:
There is a link on the bottom of my website and in the link section for a free hypnosis book of 446 pages that is downloadable immediately. That site also may be able to put you in touch with some teachers of the American International Association of Hypnosis in your area. Their course is a week long but the ongoing support that you'd get from them is outstanding. I've emailed many questions and the author of the manual is usually available to speak and consult with by phone. Very affordable as well, especially compared to HMI.

I agree that in person training was, at least for me anyway, essential for my confidence. The free manual is great for openers.

Hope you find what you are looking for.

Maybe I am biased but I am fond of Gerrald Kein's training at Omni Hypnosis Center and Cal Banyan's at Banyan Hypnosis.
From my experiences of looking into schools, either HMI or Gerald Kein.
I am doing the free HMI now and the videos can be very very repetitive and dull.

I really recommend Kein. I have some of his videos and he is just great. They are exciting to watch and would be more exciting in actual class. What I really like about him is that he promotes more rapid inductions which is not really the norm. HMI does the same induction in all the basic videos I watched and they explain it after each time. Kein on the other hand does a quick elman induction and sometimes even rapid or instant.
yeah, im doing the free hmi as well. it is sort of dull, i agree. where do i get the gerald kein videos?
David:
I attended Bennett/Stellar twice. If you contact me off-list, I'll be happy to talk with you about it. My short answer is that it is VERY good.
