Hi Amanda,

It's not just you...I'm having similar issues. I can't see who is on, and I always get the same "change user name" message. It's a bit frustrating, but I'm assuming Scott and team are working hard (as always) to fix the gliches. I did like the old way of seeing who is there and not feeling like I'm saying "hi :)" to myself. I've given up on it for now, and am glad you posted something because I just assumed it might be an issue on my end, but I didn't want to bug Scott about it quite yet. =)

Yeah, I'm playing around with a "who's online" feature that should work well, as well as other chat options. Do you guys prefer the last one over this one? What if we scheduled times on here to have formal chat discussions?

As for the "change user name" message, what are you guys talking about? I'm not sure what this is, so if you give me more info I will work on it.

If you mean the HypnoSummit stuff, that's the message everyone is getting because the conference is closed and nobody can enter until the next conference in September.

Please keep giving us feedback, as we want to make things as useful as possible. If enough people ask, I can turn the old chat back on and get rid of this one. Just let me know...

I do keep checking, but I must admit when I get "you are in the room by yourself" message I promptly leave. Don't wanna be a "Billy No Mates"! LOL

I really prefered the system we had a while back, where there was a column down the right hand side of each page, with a chat window in it, and the option of opening a separate chat window too.

we were able to read discusion postings etc, and just glance over to the righ every so often to see new conversation in the chatroom, and join in without losing the page you were reading.

I was a regular in the chatroom then along with quite a few others.

since it changed to the previous one (where at least there was the sound alert to let you know that somewas chatting) and evn more so with the new one, I simply have not used it as much,as it takes me away from other things.

I'm not sure what people mean by change user name, I haven't seen that.

Yeah, that was my favorite chat too, for all the reasons you mentioned. The third party developer had the support pulled out, so I've been looking for something similar to that again.

You can just click on the picture beside a persons name, and it will take you to their profile page.

Scott I am officially asking you to give us back the old chatroom, I'll be the first... I really feel deserted on hypnothoughts, not being able to see that other people exist outside the forums.... I'd really appriciate it... But I am just one
