I have to say that nothing beats live training. If you want a good NLP course you are going to need a lot of stuff. The Structure of Magic 1 & 2, The hypnotic Patterns of Milton H. Erickson M.D. 1 & 2, Frogs into Princes, Trance-formation the old and new one, NLP Colorado's NLP dvd collection, The art and Science of Nested loops, Beliefs- Robert Dilts, NLP- The study of the structure of subjective experience, Modeling with NLP- Robert Dilts and possibly even more. You can get a really good idea from the first four listed, but I think to get a good idea about it and not just a general idea, then the rest will be needed. If you have any questions feel free to email me @ rickystrode@yourin-trance.com

Bandler and Grinder are the authors of Patterns.

I guess you need to decide if you just want to reach the point where you can call yourself a NLP Prac, or if you would like to be competent in the use of NLP. Whatever your answer is to that, you might find that you get two different types of courses recommended.

I agree - Richard Nongard has a great certification course for NLP. It can be found at SubliminalScience.com.

The full name of Patterns 1 is 'Patterns of The Hypnotic Techniques of Milton H Erickson M.D Volume 1' by Bandler and Grinder
