Hi - Does anyone know of an office rental or office shared in New York City that is reasonable in monthly rental? A small space of 100 square feet is good for starters. Thanks for the leads!

Hi,

I do not know an office rental but my friends daughter from Hong Kong has a male friend who is 18 and would like to train for hypnosis.  She has asked can anyone tell her who would be a good training company for him. Any ideas or who I could contact that has a good reputation? I do not know any more than that at the moment just wanted to pass her onto someone that could help.

Hi Anthony,

You might want to look at virtual offices. As I understand them they can offer office space and a professional presence and services without the huge expense and onerous legal entanglement that a full office rental can entail. It looks like a good option to use until a full office becomes an option.

gentle day,

Lisa

Hi Valerie,

Can you give more information about what her friend is looking for, what he needs, in the training? This year I went through the same thing trying to find a training program. There are a lot of good training programs. They vary in approach, media (in person, dvd only, dvd with skype classroom time). If he can describe what hypnotists he admires, what he wants to do, what hypnosis means to him that will help a lot. My situation was unusual because there just isn't anything training wise near me. I was ok with distance learning because my university uses it with success, I found studies that showed learning by distance to be at least as effective as in person courses, and in some cases even better. I need more hand holding than most so had to have some way of being live in the classes-virtual classroom by skype fulfilled that for me. There are several groups on HT that students can be part of to help with getting experience with actually practicing parts of the process of hypnosis by skype.

Feel free to friend me here and I'll be glad to send my email address to you privately. I'd be glad to help him find a program that will be a good fit for what he wants. If you for any reason don't feel comfortable friending me-that's perfectly fine-we can figure out how to get the information to him. I think my profile is open and it may allow people to privately message me without friending. I just don't want to give out my personal email address in public because it tends to bring me weird emails like the last one where a Nigerian lady professed great undying love for me. That's very flattering but I prefer my love interests be fairly local and not so interested in getting my bank information ;)

gentle day,

Lisa
